8-2

Brocklitum would downplay a championship because they weren't already preparing for the next season.

How does our schedule rank so far? Pretty much cupcake, I would guess. It's nice to be 8-2, but the only good team we've beaten has been the Spurs, and we always match up well with them.

Our schedule isn't as "strong" because we BEAT the teams on our schedule. If we lost to them all, we'd have a much stronger schedule. It's a stupid stat.

that's a good point...never thought of it that way. plus ppl still overlook phx

I think the strength of schedule is considered by record of opponent before the game was played. So Blazers winning wouldn't matter.

Shouldn't the thread be named "8-2, Biotches!" or is that desecrating blazers.com?

If we go .500 for the rest of the season we will finish with 44 wins.

I guess it's dependent on whose formula you use.

Aside from the "on any given day" (as in on any given day any team can beat any other team - so good teams do occasionally lose to bad ones), simple fact, last year Portland LOST to bad teams. They lost close games and OT games. The start of being a good team is beating bad ones; and not all the teams Portland beat have been bad teams.

Good teams beat bad teams (most days). Bad teams lose to bad teams. Difference between this year and last.
