PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Eight people have been killed and a number of others injured after a shooting situation at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill on Saturday.

KDKA’s Meghan Schiller reports that a suspect, a heavy-set white male with a beard, has surrendered. The SWAT team had been talking with the suspect, and he was crawling and injured. It is unclear the extent of his injuries.

KDKA sources confirm to Andy Sheehan that the suspect’s name is Robert Bowers.

Pittsburgh Police spokesman Chris Togneri confirmed that the suspect was in custody and three police officers had been shot. He also confirmed multiple causalities, but did not divulge exactly how many.

Police sources tell KDKA’s Andy Sheehan the gunman walked into the building and yelled, “All Jews must die.” Sheehan’s sources confirmed that eight people were dead. Others had been shot, but the extent of their injuries in unknown at this time.

Cops catch a guy with a fresh fired gun who wasted dozens of people. Shoot the SOB right there. Lawyers, jail costs and bullshit can end with that remedy. Unfortunately, families are shattered.

Trump just said there should have been an armed guard in the building and this wouldn’t have happened.
 
There is literally no regard for life by a certain % of the population and this stuff will keep happening. The % will go up with Tiny unfortunately as there is a feeling of empowerment. But it would be nice if things like Twitter were monitored for these type of monsters.
 
When politicians/personalities give a voice to these nutjobs, this is the kind of shit that happens.

Im almost all for certain aspects of big brother at this point. Lets put cameras up everywhere and monitor all social media outlets.
 
I'm not anti-gun but we seem to be at a point where we need to protect ourselves with guns from all the people with guns?

Where do we go from here? You can't go to Church, the mall, School, a concert, park, nightclub, store etc.etc etc. without wondering about the people around you. What kind of future will our kids and their kids live in? It's a good thing Amazon delivers everything we need in life, we can now just stay home and protect our four walls... until we can't.

Use AI to predict threats ahead of time.

Metal detectors and armed guns everywhere. Also need to punish the families of these shooters some how so there are repercussions.

These are mass shooting incidents. Not sure if that differentiates from mass shootings but either way. This is said. One a day?

Every fricken day on average there is a mass shooting incident for the last couple years now?

No wonder the rest of the world thinks what they do of us....

It is worth looking into what qualifies as a mass shooting. Even NPR has questioned the prerequisites that constitute one. Most of these are drive bys and gang related shootings in public areas. Gun+more than one person= mass shooting, according to these metrics. Only a tiny percent are actual mass shootings like the one were talking about. There aren't people waltzing into crowded builings and wasting people every single day. But yes, any number is too many.
