It is worth looking into what qualifies as a mass shooting. Even NPR has questioned the prerequisites that constitute one. Most of these are drive bys and gang related shootings in public areas. Gun+more than one person= mass shooting, according to these metrics. Only a tiny percent are actual mass shootings like the one were talking about. There aren't people waltzing into crowded builings and wasting people every single day. But yes, any number is too many.

Fair enough

If that is the case then who drove extremists out of the woodwork? Not antifa. Antifa extremists who use violence on innocents?

Trump gave them a voice too.

I agree. Im on my phone and cant dive deep but as i was typong i was questioning an average of everyday. I dont hear about them. Political discussions dont bring them up.it seems A thread is created for almost every mass shooting of this type and there are only a few for this year.

Wait though. Lol. Cant have it both ways.

So Trump is to blame for any and all violence either side commits?

No. I am saying he gave both sides a platform. They existed before him. The divisiveness he created just gave both sides ammo.

But he is free to speak his opinion.

It doesnt mean we need to use violence when we agree or disagree.

I get ya though. Pouring Gas on a fire doesnt help.

Yes, he is free to do so. As president though, to use such divisiveness to alienate more than half of the country, and give platform to such hate, is contrary to reason and moral compass. It shows the deepest disregard for the highest office in the land.

We shouldn't use violence to resolve such disagreements of ideology, no.

Pouring gas on a fire brings more crazies like this guy out which equals more innocent people dead.

If these people were as rare as TrumpTramps like to claim, why would he invest so much time in pandering to them. Trump himself obviously believes them to be a significant voting block.

Ego. Narcissism.

How? The leftist media gives these people more attention than anyone ever has. You cant blame trump for anyones shitty behavior but his own.

That is such bull shit. When you have a president calling people enemies all the time it doesn't take much for some lame brain idiot to get the idea to take that violence to a new level. Blaming the media only shows weakness of not addressing the issue. Start with the head of the snake (trump).

as someone not in the usa, all i ever hear about the usa is news networks shitting on trump all day every day. seems hard to think there's not a dedicated effort to it. y'all need some good news or to at least report some of it.....

Trump is credited with over 100 lies this month and over 5,000 since he took office while calling the press the enemy, as well as democrats and others he has issues with and then whines when the press point it out. Also, he has alienated many of our allies while heaping praise on dictators. Are we suppose to just ignore that and accept it? Would you like a leader that runs a country like that? The guy gets what he deserves.

Unfortunately the media isn’t making shit up. They are just reporting what he actually says and does. No need for sensationalism. He provides it all himself.

he killed them because he was convinced the migrant caravans were coming to slaughter his people and Jews were helping the migrants. Where could he have gotten the idea that these migrants were coming to slaughter his people?
From psychos on something called Gab.

From an nbc news article....
Bowers appeared disillusioned with Trump for not sharing Bowers' anti-Semitic and extremist views. Days after Trump declared himself a nationalist at a campaign event, Bowers claimed that Trump was a “globalist” and not a nationalist.

Trump just said there should have been an armed guard in the building and this wouldn’t have happened.
We just don't have enough guns in this country.

Could be both. He may have grown disillusioned with Trump but also have gotten this entire topic put on his radar in such a fear mongering way because Trump keeps talking about how dangerous these caravans are. (Did you have Migrant Caravans on your radar before Trumps Presidency?) Trump talking about how they are coming here to kill, sell drugs and rape. That rhetoric likely fueled people in his circle. This is not to say he’s not a terrible person who might have done something similar, but all of Trumps fear-inspired rhetoric does have a effect on people. Thats why Trump does it, to rile up his people and get support. It inspires his base, but a portion of that base keeps magnifying the fear in their online and in person spheres of influence.

If you didn't have migrant caravans and people traveling through multiple safe countries to claim "asylum" here before Trump was president you just weren't paying attentions.

There have been movies made about kids traveling on the tops of moving trains to get here.

Pittsburgh Steelers tribute to the shooting victims.

I believe his point was that this president has used these caravan's and people coming to the border as a weapon of building fear. It's been his MO ever since he came into office as he paints everything before him in such a bleak picture so that he can build the fear and then when it's shown not to be that serious he takes credit for it. It's what narcissists do and it's pretty pathetic.

And before Latinos it was the Irish, the Italians, Slavs, Chinese, Jews, etc. Every group of immigrants not from northern Europe has been targeted by dishonest political hacks as a disaster in the making and the end of life as we know it. Every one of them has been wrong. Every. Damn. One.

Weird. Even though some people may have not wanted those groups, there is one HUGE difference.

Hmmmm...what could it be?

You mean that laws change over time?
Indirectly yes. Those others were free to come here.

Directly, everything has changed since then. Everything. And it is still changing. We're moving into the future where many of these unskilled workers will be replaced by robots.

That was what was so hilarious about the recent culinary union workers strike in Vegas. They demanded two things...no cooperation with immigration officials and promises not to automate their jobs

I'm already fed up with the pot I smell everywhere and see people driving while smoking it.

Soon they'll just sit at home on basic income and do harder drugs and the cartels will force more people here.

As of right now the corporate masters want their low wage indentured servants. Fuck the Republicans and the Democrats on this.

Kids traveling on the tops of trains is as old as the Depression and has nothing to do with caravans which I think is a newly coined Trump expression for such Latin American people.

I can't recall ever seeing someone else smoking weed while driving. Maybe it's the part of town I choose to live in. I've done it. Of course that was half a century ago.

Have you seen the trains that are fully covered with people riding on top of them?

Trump didn't organize these "caravans"

If he did he'd rightly call it an invasion.
