Someone will need to post the link, but this sickens me. Where is the fucking outrage? A beautiful little girl shot and killed on her mothers bed doing homework. I hope they find who did this. I hope they kill him. Ferguson is a mess right now, but I'm angry there is no outrage over this. Suspect it to be gang related, but no suspects yet.

Sad. It's a stray bullet though, who is there to be outraged at? Mystery shooter?

Wow this is terrible. I'm really not trying to start a debate here but stuff like this is why I wish this country had better gun control.

Very very sad... I don't know what I'd do if it were my beautiful boy... I'd probably lead a charge for better gun control.

Hundreds of people are shot with stray bullets every year in the US. It's the fucking wild west.

The constitution can be changed. An amendment would need to be passed that would remove all of the guns from the honest people.

But how are you going to remove all of the guns from the dishonest criminals?

It's fucking terrorism in the backyard...I hate this shit..my heart goes out to the family.

Adopt the strict gun control laws of Mexico.

Stray bullets are usually gang related shit. But that would probably be black on black crime, so no one really cares.

Adopt the strict gun control laws of Mexico.

Mandatory prison time for having just one bullet in your vehicle. (Believe it is either 7 or 9 years, sorry CRS anymore). It took the US state dept. months to get a USA priest released from a Mexican prison. The priest was taking donated clothing into Mexico in his car. The military found one shotgun shell in his trunk, and put the priest in prison.

Mandatory vehicle inspections conducted by military roadblocks about every 100 miles on all major roads. No search warrant needed, but bribes are accepted at some locations.

By the way, the strict gun law in Mexico was put into place to remove the guns from the people that wanted to overthrow the Mexican Govt. The strict gun law has done nothing to stop the criminals and dishonest people from owning guns. Violent crime with guns is now on the increase, not decrease in Mexico.

I will repeat my question, how are you going to remove all of the guns from the dishonest criminals?

Problem is, this was probably from an illegal gun. If the gun was legal, it would be properly registered tithe gun owner, who they could easily find.

Guns for Tacos?

Stuff like this terrifies me, that could be my or anyone's daughter... There is no correct way to fix this problem either which is maddening. Criminals will be criminals no matter what.

Huh? They left the gun there? The government can trace bullets back to guns without the gun to match it to?

I read in the story that it was next door to a house with a sign that said something about "we need to stop killing each other"

It doesn't matter now but I hope it wasn't some sicko trying to prove a point of some kind.

Every gun has the identification of the bullet after it leaves the chamber. There are no two guns alike. When a new gun is made, the manufacturer fires a round and identifies the bullet to the serial number of that specific gun.

How odd. I guess that could serve as a diversion for you while you cope with your loss. Devoting your time to something so completely unrelated to his murder.

I'd find the creep and kill him, but people deal with grief in different ways.

Instead of removing the guns from honest people, why not train more honest people how to properly handle guns?

Israel is in a very dangerous part of the world.
The number of firearm related deaths is 3 ½ times higher in the USA (3.55 per 100M) than in Israel (.94 per 100M).

Maybe this is why.

the 9 year old couldn't have stopped this if he had a weapon or training. Even experienced folks don't expect to be shot at by a driveby gangster on their way to the mailbox. Arming everyone in my view would escalate shootings. The preferred weapon Israeli's fear is not gunfire but bombs

Switzerland is similar. Both of these countries have mandatory service requirements for their populations though. I don't support that at all but the arms training would really help. Also you have to factor in that gun culture is much different in urban areas than it is in rural areas.

and increase accidents. More guns means more accidents, even if more people are properly trained.

Respectfully agree with most of your post, but fixed it for you.
Removed last sentence as irreverent and change of subject unrelated to criminal activity.

notice the lack of homicides or gun related deaths in Taiwan and the UK..both countries that don't allow firearms or ammo to be purchased ..the UK only allows hunting gear but no personal protection weaponry...the countries with the highest fatality rates are Honduras, Columbia, Brazil to name a few...weapons are everywhere
