A Canzano piece I actually agree with

I don't like how they are developing him.

Funny that someone brought up Griffin because that's exactly how they should be developing Meyers -- strictly P&R!

It's not bad when he's on one guy. It's when there are back picks or cuts. He seems to lose his man when are moving without the ball.

He's a decent man defender in the post. Where his inexperience shows is in his weakside shotblocking.

Fans frustrated with an extended string of front office fuck-ups and/or the worst luck imaginable? How DARE we expect better of the team?

If Mr Acker (whoever he is) wants to grab his ankles and chant "thank you sir, may I have another" - that's his choice. I don't swing that way.

Aren't you doing that by still following the Blazers, their front office 'fuck-ups', and/or bad luck? Most of the ideas I read here to "improve" the team are so ridiculous or unrealistic, it defies logic if that fan really wants the team to win.

Yeah his instincts and reaction timing is a little slow. If he could improve on that, then he will make a huge improvement.

I think he's too concerned with boxing out, at least in terms of being a great rebounder. A big part of rebounding is seeing the flight of the ball and being able to have a solid idea of where the ball is going to miss, be it short, long, left, or right. What I see with Leonard a lot is him looking back to his man to body him when the shot goes up. Then again, that is "fundamental" basketball, but I think with his size and leaping ability he'd be more effective watching the shot and learning where misses are going to miss.

That pic shows how the refs screw us over. That was no foul.

I found this picture of Mullens and Meyers playing against each other.

Coming right after fanboy posts criticizing realists, that post was hilarious!

I'm hoping that Leonard turns into a top-flight center, but Canzano gives no evidence in his article that this will happen. It's strange, actually. You'd think that if he was this convinced of Leonard's potential greatness that he could point to a few evidences of it, but he seems unable to.

cuz there is none. he has decent touch and can shoot FTs. that's about it.

Amazing athletic ability, good length and size. He just needs to put it all together. For a 21 year old I don't understand why thats such a hard concept for some to grasp.

BTW, those two things you mentioned are something that 90% of centers could only dream of.

Qyntel woods had a physique and talent of a superstar, but what's on top of his neck was the problem.

SL was frustrating to watch. Dude missed rotations, didn't rebound, rarely boxed out, didn't protect the rim or show any moves inside outside of a catch and shoot hook. Plus the one skill he apparently worked on was his outside shooting (and it's not even that great). W.e either we need better coaches, or he's clueless. I don't have the patience to wait for him to maybe become a starter in the league unless we go onto a full blown rebuild.

From this SL I learned that McCollum is no Lillard, and Leonard is no Olynyk. In both cases, the former absolutely sucks compared to the latter.

So is Leonard. He actually got worse in a year. His first SL was better than his second.

He had a PG that could get him the ball.

I think this teams history of getting fucked over by Centers has jaded some of you guys.

I thought it was pretty obvious that Leonard was a project when we drafted him.

I love how Canzano is the devil 99% of the time until he posts something people agree with. So convenient

I do know that a lot of NBA players who have gone to Big Man's Camp have shown significant improvement. So that's a good sign.

Your sentence implies that people disagree with 99% of what he writes.

Next puzzle? Within each riddle is its answer.
