A certain Blazer All-Star

So, NBA folks, hear me out: Change the ballot so it reflects how the game is played today.

I haven't seen this suggestion yet although it may be here somewhere:

Why doesn't the NBA limit players on the ballot to having played X number of games in the current season?

I am not sure what I would put for X but it would eliminate the McGrady's and Iverson's from the ballot.

The difficulty with that is printing the ballots. If you say someone has to play in, say, 25 games, you'd have to wait a long time to get them printed and distributed.

You don't have to have an order of operations. For instance, you could have a ballot out there, but the rule could be in place that a player cannot play in the game unless they met the criteria for number of games played. So they would still be on the ballot, but they would still not get to play unless they met the criteria by the all star game break.
