So I ask - how many superior teams to the Yankees are there in this league at this time?

And I've no doubt that the fact that 4 teams are within 1 game of each other before the season is even half over with be remembered down the years through history. Don't you worry blg, Ron just doesn't get it. Well, the hell with him.
 
I raise my hand and admit I am an O's fan BUT the competition between us and the Yanks is set explode in JULY. Tied for first..... This will be fun..

...and I've already told you that it's a fact. Look, we get it, you're a blind homer and you label those who do not share your rose colored outlook and claim there's a conspiracy against you. If you were not a Yanx fan you wouldn't be pimping them as a team to watch going into the PS...and if you claim otherwise, well, then you truly are hopelessly lost.
...As far as "doom and gloom", that's your term, not mine...but most everyone I can think of on this board said before the season began that they did not see this team accomplishing much. And what you can't seem to get through your thick fucking skull is that just because other Yanx fans are able to see this team objectively for what it is and what it isn't, that does not by default mean they are hoping for this team to fail.
...as far as "superior teams", most power rankings I've seen have the Yanx about 10th - 12th. You can take this for what it's worth.

...now, going back to your first sentence, this is what I referred to earlier as you "flip flopping" and "fence riding" all year. First you remind us of what you perceive to be positives and that this team has as much chance as any other team...then you say there's "still time left in this season for the Yanks to finish in last place"...( I assume you play both sides so you can be right no matter what happens)...yeah, you're a real oracle and risk taker. I think you're being a bit shallow and near sighted.
There's nothing contradictory about me saying the Yanks have as good a chance as any team to win this division (imo) AND yet also pointing out there is plenty of time for them (or any other A.L. East team for that matter) to finish in✴ last place.

I guess this line of thinking just may have flew way over your head.
✴A couple of long term injuries to McCaan, and/orTex...possibly a couple of DLs here and there in the 2nd half...maybe instead, a couple a couple of long term injuries to Miller and/or Betances.

I have said, since ST....and maintain, IF THE YANKS STAY REASONABLY HEALTHY, they'll continue to score a good amount of runs and with/hopefully a team ERA near or within the top third of the league, I think they'll WIN this division.

It's been going on a while but I seriously just can't take it anymore. We can't even have a normal game thread to discuss the game anymore. People have different opinions which is good for discussion but it shouldn't lead to this nonsense day in and day out.

Thanks Mess.....can I add..I don't believe I happen to be overly positive.....let's just say I'm more positive than others regarding the Yanks chances of winning this division or at least come closer than media types, ect..expected.

I knew coming into the season the Yanks were indeed an older team with a couple of key hitters with very recent injury histories....Beltran, Tex Arod.
I wasn't blind or naive. My feeling was, and still is, if the team can stay "healthy", they could should have as good a chance as any other A.L EAST team for 1st place....or the whole sh!thouse can sink if the injury/olderplayer bugaboo strikes.
And pitching wise, the CC "experiment" and Pineda having pitched only 76.1 innings between 2012-2014 certainly wasn't a big secret.

Long season- I can understand people thinking the team is fragile or a house of cards, so to speak-- I just happen to think it's more stable and not as bad.....lol
