Last summer, the Sixers offered Miller only a 1-year deal. Miller wanted a longer deal. The Sixers said they didn't want to sign Miller, who is 33, to a longer deal because they wanted to see how Lou Williams would handle the point guard spot. And they drafted Jrue Holiday, also a point guard. Today, the Sixers maintained that reasoning for letting Miller walk away verifying that what they said this summer is exactly why they didn't re-sign him. Miller signed with the Portland Trailblazers for 2 years plus a team option for the 3rd. He's getting about $7 million a year.

Check out the full convo. There's a video on the side as well, with footage of Dre knocking down jumpers with his son during an after-practice shooting session.

Oh, and AI might play tomorrow:

76ers are saying Allen Iverson will try to go tomorrow night against the Trail Blazers, listing him as "probable."

Lou Williams struggled against Utah (30 min) shooting 3-10 shooting, 0-4 on 3pters, 3 steals and only 2 assists. I think he is going to struggle against our guards with their defense. Miller is going to be the better producer as he dished out 7 assists against Denver on Xmas and will do the same against the 76'ers. As usual Miller might be hot or cold but I think is going to be the better guy in this game.

Thad Young would be absolutely perfect. He flourishes at PF and could easily fill that Travis Outlaw role playing primarily at backup PF with spot minutes at SF.
