At a time when the western conference juggernaut spurs getting older, I believe a new rivalry is born.

I expect to see much much more of Houston vs Portland in future playoffs. I hope both teams keep it together and provide stellar playoff series for the next 5 years.

One of the most exciting playoffs I've seen in a long long while.

That was exhausting just watching it tho, can't imagine doing it again.

I think PapaG said it, but Houston-Portland on Christmas next year? Can see that happening.

That's probably a lock, unless we get far enough to face the Clippers or something.

FIFY.

OK, normally I hate it when people do that, but in this case, I just couldn't resist. Come on man, where's your confidence in this team? At this point in time, we have advanced to the second round and the Clippers have not. We just beat the Rockets, at full strength, without home court advantage, in 6 games. While, on the other side of the bracket, the Clippers, with HCA, have been pushed to a 7th games by the Warriors without Andrew Bogut.

I actually never want to play the Rockets again. We beat them. It's over. Nothing left to prove.

Truth be told, we can have a rivalry with any team right now. OKC, Golden State, Indiana...we've all had epic matchups all season and a playoff matchup may produce bad blood or other craziness.

Agreed. Sadly, the NBA scheduler will have something to say about it. At least three and probably four times next year until we meet one another in the 2015 WCF.

Especially if we beat them

I'm taking nothing for granted. We'd only meet the Clips in the WCF's and I don't want to think that far ahead.

Actually, 1 and 8 seeds meet in the first round. :ghoti:
