CJ Wilcox.

Connaughton has played well and should continue to get minutes, but Wilcox is better built to play the three. Same height as Pat but longer. Anyways this isn’t about Wilcox vs Pat. This is Wilcox vs all the other options.

Wilcox has always been known for his shooting. In 30 d league games he has put up 16.9 ppg on 42% shooting from outside, and 47% overall. He’s not a Morrow either where he’s strictly a spot up shooter. He hasn’t really had a chance to play meaningful minutes yet.

When he returns from his injury, he will be someone to watch imo. His contract will not count against the cap for the first 40 or so days. If he plays well we can give him an NBA contract, by which point we may be under the tax.

What about Baldwin?

What about Baldwin?

Baldwin is a PG/SG and I think he’s more of a long term guy. I’m more intrigued by Baldwin, but Wilcox can probably contribute as soon as he’s healthy.

Btw according to Baldwin, he’s targeting next week for a return. A return to where I don’t know. The roster? The g league?

We should put him on the roster and send Meyers to G league

Well, we have an open roster spot and Baldwin doesn’t affect the cap. Don’t really see why we would waste his available days though since we don’t really need him right now. I only see him on the active roster this season if there’s an injury or Napier is traded.

Can we play ML on the wing? His 3 point shooting has been pretty good. Our D is bad anyway ...

Im gonna call this now; Wilcox will make an impact this season. Offense/potential role is tailor made for him.

According to the timeline the team gave, he should be back within the next two weeks. Could give him a look for a month before the trade deadline.

I am sick of internal solutions. We were lucky that Pat finally was able to appropriate some of the production that Crabbe gave us. But this roster isn't magically going to turn into the 86 Celtics. We need other options. Bad contracts be damned. Neil, you got us into this mess, pull a rabbit out of your hat.

Meyers, Harkless, and two picks for Evan Fournier please.

Neil will say after the Deadline that he was very aggressive to make the roster better but nothing happened :D

You still haven’t answered why Orlando would do such a trade.

And I’ll keep maintaining that Hezonja is the one that we should be going after. More realistic, cheaper.

What would it take to get TJ Warren or Josh Jackson from the Suns?
