I noticed that Camby has a propensity of swatting the ball back to our guys on a missed Blazer shot. Obviously, that's an Offensive Rebound.

My question is, is it possible to get that rebound and an Assist if said swatted shot ends up in one of our guys' hands, who then immediately shoots and makes the shot?

I'd imagine it is, but just curious.

Thanks.

Yes. You get the rebound and dime.

lots of his swats don't count as rebounds on the box score as he doesn't usually get control of the ball on them.

my understanding is fuzzy, but i think a tip IN is a rebound and a goal, but a tip OUT is just a deflection.

Not necessarily. It depends on the stat crew. Batum did this in the Minnesota game (Feb 27 during the 3rd quarter) where he tapped a rebound directly to Camby, who was under the hoop. Camby caught the ball and layed it in. Though Mike Barrett was wanting a rebound and assist to be given to Batum, only an assist was registered.

He gets the block and the assist, but it is a team rebound.

Actually, I was thinking of missed shots; balls that carom off the iron and instead of actually grabbing the ball, he swats it to (hopefully) a teammate.
