I'm a really good parallel parker. Maybe top 5% out there. I've got compliments from random people walking by. Even a round of applause from a car full of drunks. I think it even turns girls on sometimes.

I'm proud of myself for, at 40 years old, deciding to go back to school to change careers and do something totally out of my wheelhouse because over the long run I think I'll be happier in life. You are an inspiration to others by your actions. Do not underrate your efforts. Kids do eventually "get it", or most of them do. There is nothing like seeing your child follow in some of the difficult and sacrificial decisions and behavior. When they recognize that they have modeled actions based upon what you have taught or shown them, you will realize your true reward.
