A little dose of what's to come this weekend? I think not!

Great video, ABM. Do you remember when the NBA sponsored a one-on-one competition among NBA players, and Geoff Petrie won it? I believe he beat Bob McAdoo in the finals. It was a fun concept, and I wish they would bring it back.

This should probably not have too many different players. This is something I could see Steve Nash doing really well in, with some soccer kicks or something. Who do you think would be the four best horse players in the league?

Did they shoot that in a MALL?

Yeah, I think I do remember that. You're really taxing my memory, though.

Hey, here's a trivia question for you. Do you know what the Blazers record was at the time Hollins and Westphal took part in that H.O.R.S.E. match?

tic....tic.....tic.....

OK, time's up.

Do you remember the cry, "40-8 by the All-Star break!"? Yep, the Blazers were able to post that record.......then, went on to that famed 50-10 mark before Big Red went down. :sigh:

When was the last time Portland had so many players involved in All Star Weekend?
Roy - All Star Game
Oden, Fernandez - Rookie Challenge
Fernandez - Dunk contest

Would've been fun to see Roy in the skills challenge. He'd do everything perfectly, but it'd take him 45 minutes.

As long as there was a no dunk rule Nashy might be alright.

Great find . . . Jackie Moon, err, Paul Westphall had the moves, the style, and the hair.

This match was shown at halftime of the Portland-Chicago game in Chicago on February 26th, 1978, where Lionel Hollins won the game with a last-second prayer,:

The very next game, Walton went down with the foot injury that ruined a dynasty.

So much time has passed, I don't think people realize anymore how many banners would have been hanging from our ceiling. That was a flat-out dominant team that was incomprehensibly young.
