I would not patronize that place and my hope is most people wont. But that’s their right.

There was another coffee shop in SF that designed their seats (spent a ton of money) so they would be uncomfortable to keep customers from spending too long for the price of s coffee. They went out of business, now they don’t need to worry about it any longer.

Both shops have the right to their stupid decisions and we have the right to laugh at their ineptitude.

Agreed. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of using one example of a nutjob from one side as a "trump" creation.

As if 2 years ago that crazy fuck was a college professor and now.....psycho.

It reminds me of watching YouTube road rage videos where both drivers act like idiots and then blaming only one when there is a crash.

Trump's presidency has brought out extremists on both sides and I don't agree with any of it. Just a bunch of haters hating. On the other side there is a bunch of anarchists who want to burn shit in the streets, break windows, and act like rebllious children. None of it is good or neccessary. Its not making our country great again, its fucking it up.

They're just hanging on by a thread while they can. I suppose some of their children will be taught this but unless they are home schooled it seems unlikely this shit will die off completely.

I understand that these extremists don't represent the the total populations of both sides. Not all conservatives are like the guy up top of this thread and all liberals aren't all throwing rocks through windows burning shit in the street and yelling fuck the police. Its partly through this ill concieved notion that there can't be any fruitful or meaningful conversation on this forum regarding politics.

Too shallow Chris. The issues, nearly all are divisive, right from the get go.

Most Conservatives respect the founding of this Country as a good beginning. The Creation of the Constitution to protect our God given rights, is an Outstanding concept and the basis for the rule of law.

Almost every Liberal want to day, has sound bytes that denigrate the founding of this country, or is calling for ignoring the Constitution is some way, even the results of our once cherished elections.

I respect the founding of this my country, the writing of the constitution, our freedom. I also understand that times have changed and though the ideals written on that piece of paper have not, our country, our way of life has evolved. I'm not promoting or condoning ignoring that marvelous piece of writing. I propose to ammend it, to lawfully change it. I submit that it is all together neccesary. Why must you be so close minded to that?

I absolutely am not.
I would point out, there are no Constitutional amendments pending. None submitted for consideration in 40 years or so.
We just bicker over the right judge now, that will make the process unnecessary until the point comes where nobody can make sense of it any longer.

There should be. But, thats what happens when the government is controlled by one side. The government should be a diverse body of mixed opinions and ideals.

Agreed that we can't judge every person that follows doctrine X by the actions of other supporters. However, I think there is a rise, a steep rise in folks acting like this schmuck. In fact, I see a schmuckdom (new word) on both extremes. The difference is although both extremes are ill conceived, the far right contingent I believe to be more dangerous both currently and especially towards the future strength that is America.

We have talked circles around this subject, but I will reiterate one point. You ascribe ill-will or lack of constitutional respect towards a different interpretation of the constitution than what you hold. Fact is, there are 9 SC justices because the constitution needs interpretation.

It is the Liberals that want what should be done by amendments. They have held the majority several times since the last amendment was submitted.
Never started one. Obama care should have been done that way. But what ever, not one.

There is nothing I think we need an amendment to accomplish right now as a Conservative, so your comment just leaves me wondering what you mean?

Disagree. The far right has kept quiet and been left alone for years. Their numbers are miniscule. Now they see the left saying things they think in reverse and being told that they're monsters for saying it and that they can't say what they believe.

Social media has played a bigger part in this than Trump. The right wing nuts just fall back on Trump as if yelling "scoreboard" we won.

Witness people on social media starting to attack the huge numbers of left wing nuts that follow Farrakhan. It is being brought into the light of day on both sides.

Back to right vs left it doesn't really matter which is worse for the country. Worse is subjective when they are both clearly bad.

Yes, and it was seven up to about 85 years ago, increased to 9 just to get what you desire right now. Didn't work though.

There is your closed and narrow mindedness at work. Both sides have fucked up. Its been about control and not about making our country the best it can be. Both sides need to work together. If they were doing they're jobs there would be such ammendments.

Not one time has it been done.
