they're hypocritical for different reasons though. Not this reason (they're LAME for this reason though)

R's seem to not practice what they preach, and D's don't practice it...but they also don't preach it.

Spitzer sure seemed to preach it. D's don't practice it but they do preach it.

I believe I qualified my post with the word "mostly". Certainly there are exceptions to the rule, and Spitzer is one.
But if anyone wants to claim there are more democrats than republicans trying to legislate restrictions on sexual behavior, I'd be happy to have that debate.

It clearly goes both ways. One side preaches abstinence, the other taxes us to pay for condoms to hand out to children in school.

By and large, it is a republican problem because the democrats mostly don't try to tell other people who they are allowed to have sex with. So when democrats get caught with their pants down it is embarrassing but not evidence of hypocrisy.

True. I guess the demo's limit their hyprocisy to exaggerated claims of military service.

I guess if John Edwards spoke out in favor of condom distribution and use (and I don't know if he did or didn't), then he'd be an excellent example of that.
Not sure how many other non-condom users there are on the democratic side.

Not sure if that is hypocrisy so much as telling lies.

Not a lot of difference if you ask me. But have it your way.

Republicans = Hypocrites

Democrats = Liars

I think that is a very true point. And to tell you the truth, I don't know which is worse.

Can we please disband the two parties and start fresh? I'm really tired of this kind of shit.

Don't have to disband them, just vote for 3rd party candidates. If enough people do that...

Homer: America, take a good look at your beloved candidates. They're
nothing but hideous space reptiles. [unmasks the fake Dole and Clinton as Kang and Kodos]

[audience gasps in terror]

Kodos: It's true, we are aliens. But what are you going to do about
it? It's a two-party system; you have to vote for one of us.

[crowd murmurs]

Man 1: He's right, this is a two-party system.

Man 2: Well, I believe I'll vote for a third-party candidate.

Kang: Go ahead, throw your vote away. [Kang and Kodos laugh]

Sad but true :(

Nah, they also like to tell us how to live--how much money you make, what kind of healthcare you receive, how big your carbon footprint should be, etc.--yet believe those rules don't apply to them. Ex: Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Tim Geithner, Al Gore, Ted Kennedy, etc. Hypocrisy exists on both sides. It's too bad he couldn't live up to his own values, but people are human. At least he had a modicum of shame and resigned.

How about Ted Kennedy blocking a windmill farm that would have ruined the view from his house?
