they project this to be the 2015 Yankee starting lineup...........

Not sure about McCann at 4 or Prado that low down in the order. But we'll see.

McCann,Tex and Arod back to back to back ? lmao

Looks like mucho DPs/Ks, not to mention having possibly the three biggest consecutive slugs on the base-paths in MLB.
Prado should bat 6th, or 2nd depending on the SP - I would bat him 2nd vs LHP.
There's also nothing wrong with breaking up McCann/Tex with Headley in between for a little more speed.

And how can they justify batting Arod (as of NOW) above Headley and Prado? jerks
Prado is a proven good consistent hitter who is still near the top of his game.

Here we go again with the batting order thing.....
....there's no law demanding you have to bat Gardner - just because he's a fast runner - in the two spot.
He's not exactly Rod Carew.

ARod is destined for the physically unable to perform list. PEDs didn't help him physically, it was his mental crutch. Without it, he's an insecure weenie scared of his own shadow. Not only can he not handle the physical demands, he can't handle the mental side of the game....likely never could.

He does make it out of ST. That's why they did the Headley deal....and that is in ARods head now too.

Watched the Cashman interview on "High Heat" this AM who indicated the improved "left side" will end result in a wait and see attitude on A-hole adding in that his best move when reporting would be to keep his mouth shut.

The problem is though is he thinks he knows & at any moment will go into a "War & peace" type explanation on how he thinks he knows.

Fair enough. All that's known is what he admitted to, and speculation regarding his positive tests. The only validated double blind study for PEDs was related specifically to certain anabolic steroids. Data showed 2x muscle mass growth in the same time frame...typical 8 week cycle. Data also shows that conventional lifting can also achieve the same results in 2x the timeframe. Therefore is practically impossible to determine stat enhancement based PED vs non PED use, assuming HR hitting is a direct result to increased muscle mass...caveat, on the individual that has the skill to hit major league pitching already.

Just my read, but I think there are some people on here that are dumb enough to buy into the false notion the PEDs have some sort of magical cheating properties. And there were more than a few dumb players that bought into this too. IMO, ARod and his lack of self confidence bought into this crap. Like Bonds, these guys didn't need a physical edge, they already had it. I'm just tossing out there that perhaps we need to equate this to an addiction.

...please, don't tell me that you truly believe these guys could have achieved the same thing through good ole nutrition and working out. Power lifters, body builders, and other athletes take PEDs for reason, because they get results. If they didn't, there would not be a market for them that has existed for 50+ years.

...rick, I'm not trying to be a dick, though I certainly can be at times. But the fact is that Baseball needed to do something and with the blessings of the MLBPA, they did. The system is by no means perfect but again, something had to be done. The new replay system also still has bugs and will get better time and it still beats not having one at all.

...hell, today they decided that Chris Davis is OKed to use the very same drug that he was suspended for last year. (adderall)

This seems odd but there are certain rules for exemptions and Davis didn't follow them last year. The "system" has some "holes" but like I said, they had to start somewhere. Hopefully it will be more streamlined as time goes on and more is learned.
 
On a lighter note, we may get more chances to watch the grass grow as Chris Capuano labors through his 5+ innings of work before the Yanks use 3 or 4 relief pitchers to finish his starts.



Yanks sign Capuano to contract.

Respectfully disagree across the board.... And I'm not going to justify my CV here, its quite a bit bigger than my LinkedIn profile. ;)

I guess roids have done no damage to any sport, or athelete? Hmmm, Lyle Alzado, some WWF actors? others....lives ruined, by that you've too often made a defense for, no worse than simple bubble gum.....!
