Oh gawd, take the high road guys and don't blame the refs. So bush league.

It's legit, though. Seahawks mostly taking advantage of what they're given.

When the analysts keep pointing out how we're getting hosed, you know it's bad. When the opposing team's fans admit it, you know it's really legit.

With all that said. Most of the bounces have gone Niners way this eve.

I wish SF hadn't recovered that fumble simply because I want this game to be the example used to fix how bad and inconsistent the NFL has been, not just this year but the last few years as well

Or did he just pull a Kaepernick. Up unil the last five minutes, I really thought he grew this evening

What should they do?

Howie and Terry saying SF should let Kaepernick throw the ball more in the 2nd. If they put a spy on him he'll need to, but if it's his arm vs. the Legion of Boom, we'll be back in this shortly.

um, yeah.

I think they need to expand the replay rules and what you can challenge and add a ref up in the box who can signal down and have flags thrown.
I don't like as many flags being thrown as there are now but since so many are being thrown might as well make sure they are thrown correctly.

Kaepernick is more of a reason for them losing right now than any call the refs have made. I told Seahawks fans the same thing when they whined after the loss in the SB to the Steelers.

For a game with this importance both teams and the refs have been pretty sloppy at times.

Do you think instant replay will get to the point it is overused?

Oh I don't disagree, generally, but they wouldn't be in the game without him.

In the end, it's all about making the plays. The refs have hurt the Niners, Hawks have taken advantage, and the Niners haven't made enough plays.

Whoever ends up winning, I will be rooting for NFC. I loathe Denver, and I absolutely hate Peyton Manning.

So yeah, I hope the NFC team absolutely destroys Denver.

The most egregious calls that stand out, IMO, are that last fumble, the hit by Whitner, and the weak shove in the back personal foul. NONE of them had any real bearing, ultimately, on the game.

BG, do you think that the holding call against Sherman that directly preceded the long run was called properly?

Aikman not liking it to the contrary, the hit by Whitmer was illegal. The running-into-the-kicker was a miss that led to a score, but so was the holding call on Sherman. The fumble was not called correctly on the field, but no harm from it. What else is upsetting you? As others have said, it's too sloppy and inconsistent for a championship game, but you think it's given an advantage?
