AFL's bid to lure US talent to camp
AN elite group of young American basketball and NFL players will compete for two rookie spots on AFL lists.

They will do so at a talent identification camp at Redonda Beach in California next week.

The AFL has targeted tall college basketball players who missed the NBA draft, as well as a handful of NFL players who were also overlooked in their draft.
Good move by the AFL.

Will bring great athletes into the game (will seriously have to work on their endurance though), and will expose Australian Football to a new audience (the athletes, and their family and friends).

Nope, just using "NFL" as a descriptor for American Football.

Any players you guys can think of (who missed out on being drafted) that might be up for a career in Australian Football?

Junior basketballers always seem to transition well, as long as they put the commitment into building their endurance base.
