...it's funny that just 3 games ago when the Yanx were 3-6 you insisted that it didn't really mean much because it was still "early"... but now, that they are 6-6 it's no longer "early" and it does mean something?...and so you felt compelled to create a thread fellating the Yanx and also calling out other posters?
...how does that twisted logic work?[/QUOTE
Did I NOT say in the first post:
"Yeah yeah, I know it's early, but If we can evaluate after 5 games, why not after 12 games"!
So what the heck is YOUR problem? Hypocritical? Nah.
And I seem to remember the " Through 5" ( April 12) thread I also commented:
(post22)
Wow, you guys seem very anxious to fulfill all of your off season dire predictions.
Five games is five games, and we're not talking about 5 pivotal games in late September.
The team HAS played shoddy ball on the field and if this continues along with the current rate of errors, allowing unearned runs and averaging 3.4 runs per game.....then I WILL SAY there's a good chance they'll lose 90-ish games and finish in the basement.
Most of "you" didn't have much of a problem throwing a wet blanket on the Yanks BEFORE they even completed their first two series of the season yet you have no problem jumping all over me as the Yanks have kinda made good strides 7 game later.
YEP, it's still very early, but if we're willing to make definitive judgments after FIVE games, why the hell are "you" giving me such a hard time?
Don't worry, I'm well aware of my expectations for the Yanks...and I don't hide otherwise.
Its only baseball talk.....but I must admit, sometimes you CAN tell a little something about people's intellectual dishonesty and prejudices through harmless baseball talk.
