Yanks no longer in last place, no losing record, and ONE game out of first place.

Yeah yeah, I know it's early, but If we can evaluate after 5 games, why not after 12 games!

Sounds fair to me.
Comments welcome, and I can't wait to read them before they're even posted. (chuckle)

...disappear, reappear, disappear, reappear, (when it's convenient of course)....yadda, yadda, yadda.

You're a funny guy Bob, If you're looking for a pat on the back because the Yankees just swept the POWERFUL Rays, don't hold your breath.

Apparently his name is top secret & I'm not going to keep calling him BLG & he didn't like Clyde so Bob is it.

Hope to hear from you when Shane Greene floats back down to earth.
By the way, about that Martin Prado thing, how's he been doing?

Says the guy who created a thread after 5 games waving the white flag.

"Face it, the sad reality here is whether its under old or new ownership this team ain't doing dick for the next 2-3 years."

Rick, the Yanks are playing the SCHEDULE .....and so far vs THE SCHEDULE , they're a game out of first place.

Speaking of schedules and matchups......Shane Greene hasn't been exactly facing the 1927 Yankees in his three games.....kinda low-end offensive teams.
Oh well, you say Tamahtos, I say Tomatoes.

Making it personal by calling me vulgar names has only added to the comic relief that you supply this board with. Not to mention your total lack of class. But hey, whenever floats your boat.

Bob is seriously broken. If this team loses the next six....he could become 'strange fruit'. :smiley-hang:

Speaking of fruit, today I saw an ad in one of the NY papers, it showed a picture of Bruce Jenner on the covers of a Wheaties cereal as he was when he was an olympic hero. Next to it was another brand of cereal with Jenner's picture on it, you guessed it......."Fruity pebbles". I laughed my ass off.

...it's funny that just 3 games ago when the Yanx were 3-6 you insisted that it didn't really mean much because it was still "early"... but now, that they are 6-6 it's no longer "early" and it does mean something?...and so you felt compelled to create a thread fellating the Yanx and also calling out other posters?
...how does that twisted logic work?

...lol...like rick said, that question has already been answered. Prado is current hitting about .100 higher than Gregorius and .110 points higher than Drew...DERP.

...are you caught up yet?...I'm not sure this message board/baseball thing is for you.

And if the Yankees end up losing 3 of the 4 to an actual good team Tigers he'll either stay silent or he'll come up with some twisted logic by saying, "Its still early" or my personal favorite "I guess we should just write the season off".

Say what one will Rick but if you live in this area and seen the Yankees getting their asses kicked by the local team loosing 7of 10 first series games at Tropicana it was for at least this Yankee fan embarrassing. Was glad to see the Yankees take the sweep first at Tropicana since 05. I hate the Rays more than the Bostons.

I hear you Michael but any half way decent team that can't win a series against a team carrying 10 rookies should not have the right to call themselves MAJOR leaguers.

All I know is that the long they play 500 ball, the harder it is to win 90 games.

That Tampa Team beat the hell out of the Jays 3-1 that is pretty major league to me.

Didn't know that but hey even a broken clock gets it right twice a day.

Did I NOT say in the first post:
"Yeah yeah, I know it's early, but If we can evaluate after 5 games, why not after 12 games"!
So what the heck is YOUR problem? Hypocritical? Nah.

And I seem to remember the " Through 5" ( April 12) thread I also commented:

(post22)
Wow, you guys seem very anxious to fulfill all of your off season dire predictions.
Five games is five games, and we're not talking about 5 pivotal games in late September.
The team HAS played shoddy ball on the field and if this continues along with the current rate of errors, allowing unearned runs and averaging 3.4 runs per game.....then I WILL SAY there's a good chance they'll lose 90-ish games and finish in the basement.

Most of "you" didn't have much of a problem throwing a wet blanket on the Yanks BEFORE they even completed their first two series of the season yet you have no problem jumping all over me as the Yanks have kinda made good strides 7 game later.

YEP, it's still very early, but if we're willing to make definitive judgments after FIVE games, why the hell are "you" giving me such a hard time?

Don't worry, I'm well aware of my expectations for the Yanks...and I don't hide otherwise.

Its only baseball talk.....but I must admit, sometimes you CAN tell a little something about people's intellectual dishonesty and prejudices through harmless baseball talk.

.

Twice is nice- just for you.

...actually, you are the problem, as has been pointed out by many.

Its only baseball talk.....but I must admit, sometimes you CAN tell a little something about people's intellectual dishonesty and prejudices through harmless baseball talk.

...lol...really?...you can do all that?...can you also tell which finger I'm holding up?

...and again, I'm sorry you didn't get the answer you were looking for.

Its amazing what posts you avoid, which one's you respond to & which ones you find the need to bring back from the dead after several days.

It really is a miracle that you haven't at the least dislocated your shoulder with all the patting you do on your own back. Sadly through a VERY selective memory.
You seriously might want to consider finding another forum to display your utter stupidity And your constant self indulgence is sickening.

I do want to thank you though for your daily comic relief, it is the one thing you actually do well. Keep em laughing Bob.
