What is keeping you watching at all the rest of the year? Genuinely curious.

Old habits die hard.

Seriously though, I’ll always root on my Blazers and the great thing about sport is there’s always hope.

I think we have some good young pieces, but really not enough to think we’re a couple years away.

I just want to see a shift to focusing more on the youth. It’s absolutely nothing personal against Grant, Simons or Ayton as people. I’ve cheered on assholes (the jailblazers).

Just win, baby.

Scoot/Sharpe/Camara/Grant/Clingan is a fun team to get behind with Banton and RW leading the bench.

We used to see a lob for Ayton and a lob for Sharpe maybe once a game last season and in Sharpe's rookie season.

What the hell happened to even that, pathetically limited as it was? What a joke.

Iso ball

We need to be feeding Ayton in the paint. Some of it is on Ayton though. Too much hanging out at the three point line. Also, when he gets inside and gets the ball it's often not a good outcome. His hands are terrible and he seems to lack confidence. Dude double pumped in the paint yesterday with nobody within 10 feet. He could be a beast, but there seems to be some mental block.

When Ant and Ayton were out most of the time, we were actually a good team. Went 5-5 over a 10 game stretch. Scoot played well with an improved shot, Grant deferred to Sharpe who played like an All Star and team defense was good with elite play from Camara, RW, Clingan, Deni on that end. Clingan had a near triple double. It was fun. I’m hoping Simons and Ayton are traded soon so we can get back to it. The great thing about this season for me is I root for them to win and if we do, hooray but if we don’t, it doesn’t hurt me like losses did in years past because it helps our draft standing. A 36-46 record like Hawks had last year would be outstanding and the Hawks won the lottery. I mean, didn’t everyone enjoy Dame’s rookie year even though we went 33-49?

We may not have 33 wins combined in the last two years (yes, this is hyperbole, no i don't need to look up that we are pretty much at 33 wins in a season and change lol).

It's fine to root for wins, but I tend to look long term and if we don't trade the vets for our future then who cares if we win games.

Ant brings nothing to the table beyond one skill. CJ.

Sharpe has 2 good games in a calendar month. No consistency.

Clingan is okay. Intriguing to build around.

Just do this around cligan, Camara, and MAYBE Sharpe, though if he left it'd be better for the team most likely.

I just want it to look like we care about the future, because if the present is getting our ass kicked by 40+ at home to the 2nd worst team in the league without its best player, then why the fuck cheer for the team until they change?

Also, don't go to games and give as little money to the team as possible. They have billions they are fine without your money. So don't show up, don't watch, and don't pay for anything that directly goes to the team.

Force them to change.

I went to the game against Dallas last weekend. That’s the only Blazers game I’ve watched this season. They suck.

Didn't Jody sign an agreement with the city of Portland to get the arena upgraded and the team stay awhile?
Yeah, Thinks its through 2030 with Moda being handed over to city for upgrades. I've been told that a bridge agreement could be easy to get out of? And after 2030 a new owners could relocate. The city /blazers better follow through with upgrades, I believe they are responsible for 50%. Thats will be an indictor of sort in my mind. Could be when Jody sells the team?

I'm not a fair weather fan - I've been a Blazer fan since day 1 and will continue to be through thick or thin.

I get it.

We just choose to use our time differently when they suck, and that's fine.

Already over this loss. Watching this game right now from last week and loving what I’m seeing!

Change what? We are tanking for high level talent. That’s a good plan which you agree with. You are too hard on Sharpe. In his 3rd season, he is leading the team in scoring. He had back to back 30 point games in wins when Simons was out. A couple games ago, he had a good one. So it’s not one a month like you say. And if he was consistent, we wouldn’t be able to tank. Be patient. A lot of great players take 3-4 years to get there. Sharpe and Scoot would be further along if Simons was out of the picture. Scoot’s shooting had massively improved before he got hurt.

I'm not sure the arena upgrades matter much when we're talking about NBA teams being worth 4 billion.

If they have 9 years of tanking by then might be so much less fan interest the new Blazer owners can claim that is the reason to relocate the team.

Just not sure what city would make sense to relocate. Vegas and Seattle supposedly are getting expansion franchises. But if that doesn't happen obviously they'd be options. Maybe San Diego with the Chargers gone.

Probably just comes down to what local ties a new owner has. Jody might try to hold onto this team for 20 years though. Also have no idea what happens if she dies, would assume someone else just runs Paul Estate but they might be even more inclined to keep control of the team and those fat checks coming to them personally.

What do Ant Ayton Grant have to do with tanking?

I'm fine with losing - but the group of vets Cronin has assembled makes this team painful to follow.

Mostly still putting all my hope in Sharpe and Clingan (not so much an offensive powerhouse, but defensive beast in his case) and to a lesser extent Scoot. Praying that no matter where we are in the standings at the end, we get all the lottery luck.

I heard Moda is the oldest arena in the league and they will expect major upgrades or new arena. We dont have Paul to build a new arena like before.

Yeah that may be right.

I just think if those upgrades are done it doesn't mean a team is staying and if the upgrades are delayed doesn't mean they're leaving..... The relocation decision would dwarf any moda upgrade $.

Best fan base in the NBA just waiting to unleash. But fed up with the trajectory.

We’re not tanking for 9 years. Also-didn’t people say Moda was louder than ever in the Clingan bear tr

Great attitude King.

There are some fair weather fans here who like to think they are diehard fans and should dictate to us diehard fans how we should allow ourselves to be entertained by the team.
It’s comical really.

Same thing as others claiming some Blazer fans are bad fans because they want good draft picks to eventually build a winning team instead of the shit talent the Blazers have today.

It's a personal preference, nobody is a better or worse fan because they have a different preference with how the team is built.

I get it.

We just choose to use our time differently when they suck, and that's fine.

And yet here you are posting at how the team sucks and we should’t spend time or energy on them. Yet you are spending time and energy trying to tell diehard fans to be more fair weather fan like yourself.

Who has claimed that those wanting a good draft pick are bad fans? I have not seen or read that at all.

I have seen we should not tank inorganically. But if we play the right players and they play hard and we lose and get a great draft pick, I am unaware of any one person who would say thats bad.

Not sure what you are trying to defend….

People who only come on here to tell others the team sucks and they shouldn't pay attention are trolls. Period.

.... we were talking about the actual viewing of the game.

It was RIGHT in the reply of what I posted.

They LITERALLY talked about the VIEWING of the game. To which I replied to it.

Please do a better job of reading. It's greatly appreciated.

It is hard with your posts. So many start out in similar fashion i merely gloss over the redundant and constant, “they suck, stop giving them money” narrative you run with so often.
Forgive me for being victim to your pattern…
