JCB: Thanks. It's great to be back on a Nets forum.

Ghoti: Really? I didn't think Mikkel Kessler had any fans outside Denmark. Here in Denmark he's one of the hottest athletes, and have been so for a year or so. There's more or less a Kessler update everyday on the news. The Calzaghe match is well-anticipated.

I've been following him for a few years now, and he's one of the best and most exciting fighters in the world.

That Calzaghe fight is the sporting event I'm most excited about this year.

Kessler has fans here. Anyone who likes boxing can't help but like him. Maybe if he beats Calzaghe (no easy task) he will come fight in the States.

Deron Williams slams AK's work ethic on local radio show. Can anyone imagine Kidd doing this?

I thought the most depressing part was Williams seemingly has washed his hands of Kirilenko and trying to get him to be a part of the team. They clearly have two different approaches to the game and Deron doesn't respect AK deep down or he wouldn't make these statements. You can say ya have no hard feelings about a guy 100 times but ya say something that specific and questioning his work ethic in that manner it's pretty telling how you really feel about someone. I think Deron is a Sloan guy and he's worked through it in some way so he can't understand why Andrei can't. Now the thing is we have no idea what exactly the interaction between the two was during Williams' two seasons but it surely doesn't sound like Deron went out of his way to try to make it work.

On a side note of AK being a baby, I posted all my thoughts on Andrei in the Jazz forum ( http://sportstwo.com/Thread/View/NBA/UTAH/1803356 ) and I think he's a guy who just isn't the right fit on Utah and has exhausted his want to continue to make it work. After hearing Deron's comments I can see why.

QUOTE

It was only a matter of time: basketball pundits would start suggesting that Andrei Kirilenko for Richard Jefferson makes a lot of sense. Steve Luhm, columnist for the Salt Lake Tribune, basically advises Kevin O’Connor to get on the phone and call Rod Thorn…now. The unhappy Kirilenko, he writes, “might be just what the Nets are seeking” while he can foresee Jefferson, who hasn’t expressed a desire to be traded, “filling a few different roles for the Jazz.”

That is a ridiculous statement.

AK is none of those things.

He is easily all of those things and more. I'm glad Deron Williams ripped him. He's a joke. Crying about a reduced role in the offense when it benefits your team..how can you even argue that that's not selfish? Demanding a trade and threatening to walk away from his contract..WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. It's extremely unprofessional and selfish. I hope he does go to Russia. The NBA doesn't need any more crybabies like him.

i don't agree with you there. i like players like andrei, players who bring a strong defensive presence to the floor. he should definitely be on another team, because obviously he does not fit with this team at all.

Not even him?] I'm honestly trying to differentiate between the two. On the surface I give RJ more range, but give AK more defense. It's a hard decision on my part, as I find an effectionate bond between the players; however when all is said and done RJ has been with me these years, and thats the guy I stand behind...

as NetIncome said, I don't see him coming over here. I can see him going to the Lakers, maybe.

Just foolish. Nothing you say here is true. I don't know how your read of this situation could be any more wrong.
