Want David Lee?

Start with Rudy Fernandez

They'd have to for DLee. Unless they move LaMarcus. POR is not getting DLee cheaply.

I really don't like to use this adjective, but in this case? I'll make an exception.

That's a pretty retarded statement.

I really don't think that the Knicks are going to match a large offer and screw up their cap space next year... and Portland doesn't need Lee badly enough to give him a large contract AND value to the Knicks.

Ed O.

Haven't we been down this road before?

Lee is one of several players (EG Bass, Varejao) who would be useful to the Blazers - EXCEPT for the small fact that they want to be paid and played like starters. Even if the Blazers ponied up the $$$, they would be unhappy with their role and a headache in the locker-room.

To NY:
Want Lebron or other big FA? Better dump Lee for cap space.

This just goes with what some of us have been saying all along. Signing him has disaster written all over it. If he signs, it will only be for the money, and we'll have to grossly overpay for him. Once he gets his contract and barely plays, his agent will be demanding we trade him.

Like everything else in NY, Lee is vastly overrated.
