Not a fan.

I like drinking alcohol.
I like good food.

I don't really like them together though.

I'll have a nice ribeye steak, but would rather have iced tea than wine through the meal. A scotch before the meal is fine or a digestif, but food and alcohol don't really mesh well for me.

Can I get a witness?

No. Beer goes with everything. Coffee and a beer in the morning, is the best. So delightful on the palate....

(Coffee beer, on the other hand-Ick. NASTY....)

I'll have beer with salsa and chips, but once it gets into nacho territory the combo fills me up too fast and I have to stop drinking the beer. Beer is best on a relatively empty stomach with some snacks.

Beer with fried food is just fucking gross

Eww. My kid loves sushi. I tried it. Once. Lol. Man, you don't like fish and chips with a good stout beer? Love it. To each his own tho....

Are those my only two choices?

I drink beer with most anything if I'm in the mood for a beer. I don't really drink liquor anymore but I would only have it with nice dinners in the past... Laurelhurst Markets smoke signals is 100

If I go to a restaurant I'll generally get one 3 things. Iced tea, Sprite, Water. Substitute a beer once in a while.

I think the problem is I binge drink so itd be 4 or 5 beers with fish and chips

Well the fish is fried, so you feel extra greasy

A ribeye with a freezing cold bottle of Newcastle is awesome. Haven't had either in forever....gout.....fuck.

If you're not the on it already, tell your doctor you want to go on Allopurinal. For too many years I used to suffer horrible and crippling gout attacks, for seemingly no good reason. 5 years ago I went on 300 mgs of Allopurinal per day. What an absolute miracle! I don't eat a whole lot of red meat and I've really toned back my alcohol consumption but it's the Allopurinal that has pretty much eliminated the gout attacks. I fought going on it for a stupid amount of years because I didn't trust it/misunderstood it. I was wrong. I highly recommend you look into it (again, if you're not already on it). It literally changed my life....

I completely agree with this.

am I the only one who still confuses dougnsalem with barfo, because of barfos old House avatar?

Does this help?

hahaha

No, barfo and a former member got into a bit of a tiff, and barfo used to use house as his avatar for a while.

I'm not saying you should change yours, just wondering if I was the only one who remembered it and still brain farts.

I have an appointment soon. I haven't had an attack in months, apple cider vinegar once a day has been great but I'm still going to talk to a doctor and have tests done.

Not a fan of drinking while eating at all. I'd rather have water honestly.

Alcohol tastes gross, I ever drink unless I'm planning on getting drunk.
