Game Thread ALCS Game 2 - Yankees vs Astros @ Minute Maid Park - Thursday Oct. 20th 7:37pm on TBS

The starters have actually been much better than the relievers...but to reiterate, for the last 2 games Boone has insisted on going to the pen when it was not necessary...especially since the 2 starters had very low pitch counts...Taillon only 67 pitches, and Cortes only 61 pitches.

Boone, here's a tip, stop over-managing...sit your goofy ass in the dugout and blow bubble gum, and when the time is right we'll have Luca Brasi tell you when it's time for a pitch change.

And 3 run blast by bregman and Astros lead 3-0 and with our offense that’s the ballgame

This HP Ump is calling anything anywhere near home plate a strike...as Bregman makes it 3-0, bad guys.

I had a bad feeling that was going to happen (Bregman HR)

You're getting the call off the plate so you put one on a tee middle in to Bregman. These morons deserve to lose.

I told myself before the series began that we'd be very lucky to win 2 games in this series...but as I said a few weeks ago, I'd rather fail again in the PS if it meant canning Cashman and Boone.

Houston has been a much better team than us for years now in every phase of the game...We may very well get swept, which be an even better reason for Hal to clean house.

Small ball of a different sort, taking advantage of Ass-tros errors

Yanx 2

Donaldson can't make contact and "struggling" is an understatement.

After a rally to make it 3-2, Donaldson once again comes up small and fails....go figure.

Re: Donaldson
"Comes up small and fails" Big.

Yanx are stuck with his ass for another $21,750 Million dollar year IF the Yanx buyout his 2024 8 Million $$ Option.

Trashman was force fed an expensive option to get rid of Sanchez. "You take our garbage in Sanchez and we will pay out the ass for a washed up 3-rd baseman who thinks he's still MVP caliber."

With our luck the Yanx will fail miserably and Hal will do nothing but praise the 2 Losers!

In Peraza's defense that third swing for the strikeout, was at a pitch very hard to hit. Someone needs to inform him to lay off of that sweeping hook.

Hence why they strike out far too much. Instead of contact they swing out of their shoes.

Not sure if it's been mentioned or not but take last night's game,...the Yanx struck out 17 times...the Astros, only twice.......think about that.

Yup, and the reason he keeps finding himself constantly behind in the count is because early in the AB he swings at pitches well off the plate.

I think he'll eventually be a good player...but he's simply not there yet.

There's another game here they can steal but unfortunately it's appears to be the same wash, rinse and repeat in big spots.

Seems to me that swing for the fences attitude by Yankee hitters came with the arrival of BaBoone.

I wonder if they fired him, if that swing for the fences mentality would depart with him.

Exactly, and no one is teaching these young kids plate discipline either it seems.

When something like what just happened on the ground out by Torres, I just gotta admit that is was just not meant to be.

Damnit Boone, get your over-officious ass back in the dugout.
