Aldridge and ZBO would sure look good right about now

God Aldridge and oden would look pretty good right now! Kp is the worse gm ever!

All things being equal, I would have felt pretty good rolling with KD, LMA and Z-bo as our forwards with maybe Joel (and Camby?) at center.

C'est la vie.

What does that have to do with ZBO? ummmmmm NOTHING!!!!!! Did not have to trade him

It had everything to do with zbo dude! It's one thing if we picked Durant; but we didn't. We picked oden which lead to the departure of zach

I'm not sure if this is arguing for or against KP?

Hell yeah! Wrong pick looking back in hindsight. But about 90% of fans and league analysts agreed oden should have been #1 pick. Sometimes I wished that we were lucky, but not lucky enough to get #1

There would be no Andre Miller or Wesley Matthews, but yeah, woohoo!

Well if we had Durant and zbo, I think we could have been fine without them. We probably wouldn't of gotten Wallace either.

What about Deron Williams??

Blazers fans are the kings of could have/would have. It's laughable.

Oh no!!! We wouldn't of gotten all the average scrubs we got now. Instead we would have tough low post all stars who can score in the paint. Yeah you"re right we wouldn't of gotten all those average players cause we would be winning and wouldn't need them!

We need a time traveling ChoLorean.

But if we got Williams, we wouldn't probably gotten Durant or Oden. Although a Williams, Roy, LMA, Zach combo would still be pretty fucking deadly!

Obviously, Zach sucks because 2 teams after us let him go for no reason, McMillan is a top coach because he's assistant on the US team, and Miller sucks because he's never won a playoff series.

Wade has a house in Chicago, but is staying in the hotel so as not to get relaxed. Did Aldridge stay in the hotel when we played Dallas? Articles told of Aldridge eating his mother's home cooking.

There will be no comforts of home for Dwyane Wade(notes) on this trip to Chicago. All business. After all, an NBA finals berth is at stake. The Chicago native is going home and treating it like a road trip, which is precisely what it is

Oh the what ifs....

Deron Williams
Brandon Roy (healthy)
Kevin Durant
Zach Randolph
LaMarcus Aldridge.

Ask ANY Piston fan about the 03 draft (Lebron, Melo, Bosh, Darko)

Lebron was already gone but yeah that's one stupid pick.

I never regret the Odin pick, especially after watching Thor. But I hated the Zbo trade when it happened and the Webster pick was a joke.

Even better:

Chris Paul
Deron Williams
Kevin Durant
LaMarcus Aldridge
Greg Oden

Dynasty!

I don't think Zach would have grown up as much as he has if he had stayed in Portland. Not to say he wasn't a good player while he was here, but he's stepped up since obviously (mostly in the very recent past). Also, if Aldridge had Z-Bo and/or Durant here, it's pretty likely that he wouldn't be a third team All-NBA player. He deferred to Roy a lot, and that was with playing time. With Z-Bo here, it would have been a lot tougher to find playing time, and neither of them really played like a center until Aldridge bulked up and then played like a man after Roy went down.

It's OK, LeBronze was off the board and Melo & Bosh would've bid their time in MoTown before bailing to NYC and South Beach anyways. If you would've somehow landed LeBronze, he would've ended up in South Beach. If you would've picked Wade, he would've end up in South Beach. It's a big ol' consipiracy!

You should've taken Mickael Pietrus!

Sure that's possible, but we don't know what would've happened. Maybe the pistons would've been able to bring a better free agent than Villanueva as an acceptable sidekick. Maybe Detroit would've been a playoff team, better than Toronto and Bosh stays put. Wade stayed with the team who drafted him, maybe he would've done the same in Detroit.

Ah, but my lineup could have actually happened!

I doubt it. Drafting Deron Williams (or Chris Paul) would almost certainly have meant not being in position to win the lottery in the Oden/Durant year. It also probably means not having the draft pick that eventually netted Aldridge (through trade). Roy could still be a Blazer though.

Mashing together all regrets into one super team doesn't really reflect a possible alternate reality, IMO. :)

I'll always wonder how crushed Portland fans would have been when Jordan left the Blazers in the late '80s for the Lakers.

Drexler would have left before Jordan.

Drexler would have left before Jordan.

I don't think so. Drexler would have been traded long before he could have left Portland for Hakeem. Don't mess with my imaginary draft dreams!
