I really like how he's playing right now. More physical. In the paint. I'm happy with how he's looked so far this season.

He's a soft ass chump. Just ask Mixum ... oh wait ...

stat stuffer tonight: 14pts/8reb/2ast/4stl/5blk

I'll be interested to see if he can keep the stls/blks up throughout the year, last year was the first season he finished with less than 1.0 in both and I know I would have liked to see more of those kinds of plays from him.

5 blocks and 4 steals tonight. Nice active defense by LaMarcus! I love his aggressiveness and gritty play as of late.

I just thought he was getting in the paint more. Mixing it up. He's starting to play like we all hoped he would, and now we just have to wait and see if he keeps it up.

Loved Aldridge's game tonight. Once he gets his touch around the hoop back, he's on his way to an all star season, if he can sustain this type of effort every night.

From Rebecca Harlow? Been there, done that.

ZING!

I also have to agree and have been a big LMA critic in the past. Loving what he's brought the past two games!

Much Love LMA. Silence the haters who simply don't accept you. You are an integral of our Big 2, soon to be big 3.

I really hate this attitude, that it's somehow disloyal or disingenuous to criticize LMA when he played soft or didn't play up to his considerable potential. Hell he even admitted that he tuned coaches out at times in the past when they tried help him diversify his game or tried to point out areas that needed work. The fact that he seems to have finally found some internal drive to address his weaknesses and take some ownership of his game after getting largely nullified by Phoenix in last year's playoff is definitely commendable and it's a welcome sight, but he's earned some of the heat that he's gotten in the past.

Aldridge has really impressed me with his physical play. Hope he keeps it up.

I liked what I saw tonight, but the officials were also letting the bigs play and you could tell that Camby and LMA fed off of that.

Yes for the most part I loved the way the refs called the game. They let them play underneath. They still suck as usual in regards to calling offensive fouls, but overall they did a good. job.

One thing about LMA that can't be said enough is he plays big minutes. Does he take plays off? Probably. But he is very well conditioned. He chases smaller player around, sometimes picks up players full court, gets banged on down low by the other bigs....... The guy may pace himself, but he has to with all our injuries.

With Boozer and Amare gone East, Aldridge is primed to make the All Star team, the way he and the team are playing.

There's still plenty of other good forwards in the west, so nothing is in the bag yet, but I think he would definitely deserve to go if he keeps this up.

Still has competition from Melo, Durant, Griffin, Duncan, Gasol, West, ZBo, Scola (he's been amazing so far this year), and Millsap.

I think he'll make it this year if we're top 3 in the west when the coaches pick players.

Don't forget Love

I didn't. His stats might be decent, but Minny under utilizes him, so his impact is minimal, and the team won't be winning. (I considered something similar for Griffin, but I think the Clips will be somewhat decent by midseason.)

Fair enough.

I've said it the past few years so I might as well say it again. This will be LaMarcus's breakout season! He'll be more physical, draw more fouls, and kick some ass!

Check out his shot chart from yesterday:

Kind of cool to see Aldridge "go Nowitzki" (expand his low post game) and "go Rasheed" (expand his range to the three point line) at the same time.

My problem with Rasheed jacking all those three pointers was just that he wasn't that great at them. I mean, 35% is passable if you are a guard/sf, but if you are a big man taking that many threes it should be because you are freakin' fantastic at it.
