Several teams are trying to go after both.... guess who can actually sign both? What if we constructed a s&t with the clippers essentially Kaman and future considerations for Jordan, which would save us some cap space we could then use to go after Aminu.

But honestly, if the Clippers lose Jordan, they will be the 7th or 8th place team in the west. Maybe even lotto bound.

If we got a verbal agreement for DeAndre I bet the Clippers would consider a double sign and trade for Rolo and or Afflalo. That would let us stay above the cap and keep Wes, Wright, Freeland.

Laker fans of course think they can get both and want us to do a sign and trade of LaMarcus for Julius Randle.

I'm not sure why DeAndre would want to join LaMarcus; he is good friends with Griffin but supposedly the main reason he would think of leaving the Clippers is so he can be the primary frontcourt option as he would be in Dallas, New York or the Lakers. He was the primary offensive option when Griffin was injured and played great which seems to have given him an inflated sense of his own worth.

But seriously.... Free agency starts at 9pm.... Free smoking starts at midnight!

Jabari and I had the same thought -- Thw Lakers want to pair LMA with .....Lopez.

If I were LA, and I loved how I played with Robin "Don't worry, I'll box out EVERYBODY for you so you can get the rebound" Lopez, I'd be saying "I only want to go to a team with him on it."

If he goes to Dallas I bet both sides figure out a way to have Chandler sent back to the Clippers in a sign and trade. For just next season I think the Clippers would actually be better with Chandler instead of DeAndre. Then age will reverse their impact.

I feel compelled to remind everyone that max-level free agents don't sign with Portland (apparently even when we can offer them more money..), let alone two of them. I'd hate to see everyone get their hopes up and then crushed when a guy like Aminu is our big signing...

This is Neil Olshey..the guy who got Chris Paul to the Clippers. Another team that couldn't sign anybody. I like our chances

We're getting a max guy, even if it means signing Aminu to the max!!!

Take that!!

Let's be honest. David Stern brought Chris Paul to the Clippers too.

I find it funny that the Lakers plan is to over pay Kobe, and make LA and Deandre take a pay cut on a short term deal, with a wink wink for the future. There are $24 million reasons LA wont sign with LA and they are all in Kobes wallet. He hamstrung that whole franchise......... i sure hope LA talks to DHo if he is even slightly considering signing there.

If we sign Monroe, wouldn't that be considered "max level" free agent?
