First of all, "Bleacher Report," lol. That's the only site Hoopsworld can make fun of.
Second of all, I'm a balls-to-the-wall homer, and even I don't think LaMarcus is the best PF in the league. Top 5? Certainly. Would I trade him for any other PF in the league? Hell no.
Third of all, Aldridge has improved on at least one specific facet of his game during every off-season in his career, and he did so by choosing to focus on that specific facet and bust his ass. I fully expect him to do that this off-season.
Fourth of all, GO BLAZERS!
Another thread the Aldridge haters don't like to see
Just to play devil's advocate, but Hoopsworld isn't much better than Bleacherreport. Remember, that's the site that didn't even list Brandon Roy on their top shooting guards article.
It's not even about Aldridge at this point, and you should know that. It's about the personal bullshit on this forum that some people like to cling to.
"OMG you posted something that I perceived as negative about Aldridge, I'm going to bring it up and rehash it every chance I can so that every thread turns into one huge bitch fest."
I don't have a problem with the topic, I have a problem with using fan-fiction from Bleacher Report as the foundation for an argument.
Honestly, he should be able to. Duncan is a million years old and Aldridge is entering his prime. If he can't dominate a guy who is 36, there's a problem.
Nice story on Aldridge's emergence as the top power forward in the league . . .

Well, it did have a link to Bleacher Report, so there's that...I laugh at how some posters get so upset about an article favorable to LMA. There is nothing at all wrong with Shooter's post, other than it offered an opinion on LMA that goes against the belief of a small minority of posters who happen to be dominating this board lately.

ABOUT
Brendan Bowers is an NBA Writer with Bleacher Report. His work has been published in SLAM Magazine, KICKS Magazine, Cleveland.com, and elsewhere throughout the basketball interwebs. His StepienRules.com blog has been credentialed by the Cleveland Cavaliers for the past three seasons, and was named the 5th Most Influential NBA Team Blog by SportsOverdose.com. He believes Craig Ehlo was much better than anyone seems to remember, and that Terrell Brandon is the most under-appreciated PG in NBA history. This past season Brendan averaged 10.3 points per game in a very non-competitive men's league while shooting enough to average 18.
As opposed to poster-driven threads that have no lists, other than "Aldridge Has Quit", "LaMarshmellow", and other such nonsense?
There's no appeal to authority in those threads, just plain ol' fashioned bullshit the way it should be.

There are plenty of PFs entering their prime. Should they all be dominating Duncan? Kobe Bryant is 34 ... should all young SGs be dominating him? Michael Jordan won his last title at age 34. Shouldn't younger All-Stars have been able to dominate him?
Steve Nash is what, 39, and you were one of the biggest proponents of the Blazers trying to get him (for LMA, no less, IIRC).
Very, very dumb post.
Are you kidding? I was one of the people who said they DIDN'T want Nash. Your history is very peculiar.
And I'm saying that Aldridge, one of the best power forwards in the league, SHOULD be able to dominate a 36 year old Tim Duncan. Who said anything about "all young power forwards" or any other power forwards for that matter?
Duncan is still an All-Star. What does age have to do with it?

2 days ago, Aldridge shot a miserable 3-14, causing OKC to blow us out by 20 points. Most times he handled the ball, he bobbled it. Most times he dribbled, he lost possession. He is so stealable when he dribbles, that Westbrook figured out by mid-game to run to him from way over on the other side of the court. It was like taking candy from a baby.
Let's see him win one playoff series. He is light years from taking a team on his shoulders and truly being The Man.
Yep and when all said and done Aldridge will be the best PF ever to suit up in a Blazers uniform!! He will probably also retire a Blazers. The Portland Blazers have really had some great power forwards.

I wouldn't mind him retiring as a Blazer (after a long career), but I think in todays NBA that's going to be super rare.
There's a reason why Duncan, Pierce, Dirk and Bryant are one of the only players who have been one team for as long as they have.
That said, all things considered (longevity, sanity, stats and ability) he's arguably the best or 2nd best.
Not sure I think Maurice Lucas' name should really be blindly put as the best PF ever, even with winning a title. That's not Bucks fault, or Rasheeds or LaMarcus' fault.
Says more about how weak the PF position is right now more than anything.
Lmao of you think that
