Obviously I am bad at linking an article.

It's nothing that you did. For some reason instead of inserting the link the board was trying to convert it to a request to play media. Weird. I worked around it by pasting the link into the LINK text. I've never had that happen before.

For what it would cost, it's not worth it. LaMarcus on the team, as a willing and able 2nd or 3rd banana, would be a good thing though.

At the time, we had three first round picks in a deep draft. One of the suggestions was Aminu, Harkless and a 1st round pick.

Point being, he was on the outs with Pop at the time, they didn't know Kawhi was going to miss pretty much the entire season, and may have been willing to trade Aldridge to us without requiring any of Dame, C.J. and Nurk in return.

Having another proven 20+ ppg scores, and a big man at that, would have forced Anthony Davis to guard someone other than just double teaming Dame on every possession. Aldridge's defense also improved under Pop. He may be getting old, and some here may never forgive him for jilting us, but he's the kind of 2-way player this team needs to make a significant improvement.

But that was last year, when we had 3 first round picks to work with. He had a great season, one of the best, of not THE best of his career, but now he's another year older. So, the situation has changed, but if we had gotten him last summer, I think we would have had a better season and most definitely fared much better in the playoffs.

Take him back in a heartbeat. Him as our PF this season, we would be in the finals.
Your wild swings are crazy for someone who is so close to the team. From 26 wins to Finals over the loss or addition of LA!?! Yer crazy. With LA we'd be - at best - a 2nd round exit. This team should have been a 2nd round exit this season anyway...but our coach totally shit the bed.

Aldridge signed an extension last summer so when the article says that if they trade Kawhi they'll focus on re-signing Aldridge is just wrong information.

NOP without Aldridge was an exceptionally bad match-up for us. I think adding Aldridge would have helped to get us past NOP, and I also think a big 4 of Dame, C.J., LMA and Nurk would have matched up damn well against GSW in the second round.

If Spurs decide to move Leonard and go into a rebuild why not jump into a 3 or 4 team deal. If we can move ET and Meyers by some miracle and end up with LMA I would happily give up draft picks for that.

Me too. As long as they don't give up Damian, CJ, Nurk and Collins (Collins more than Nurk), I'd be happy.

I also am realistic so I know that won't happen.

Maaaaybe. If you believe that LA would play they same way under Stotts that he played under Pops. Somehow - call me crazy - I just don't see that happening.

Pop said he wanted Durant in return for LMA. Wonder what he thinks he will get for Kawhi.
Should be interesting to watch.

Rather go with Blake Griffin. More expensive, but much better player.
