Aldridge Would Benefit Greatly From This

LA's offense in general and post game in particular is actually not the problem (it's one of the strongest parts of his game) it's his generally poor rebounding and pick setting that he really needs to work on. Frankly, at this point even with some tutelage under a guy like Hakeem, you'd only be likely to see incremental improvements in his offense, as for the rebounding a lot of that comes down to an innate understanding of how to position yourself; "sensing" where the ball is going to come off the rim and having the quick twitch reflexes to snare it.

If all LaMarcus does is improve his man defense and learns to set a real pick I wouldn't ask for anything else.

He needs public criticism to improve, but he's too pompous for it to do any good.

While he is getting better in the post, he still needs more moves IMHO. He rarely reverse pivots. There is no quick spin like this:

When he tries the above move he is usually called for Traveling. His post game consists of going to the left block and post driving to the middle of the key, his jump hook, and the fadeaway.
He rarely (while he is doing it more it is not comfortable) does the up and under step through. Even Luis Scola has a better back to the basket game:

Hakeem would also help Leonard.

Many complex skills depend upon one simple skill, dribbling, and he doesn't have it. Aldridge is overrated leaguewide and we could get a better player for him, but I don't know whether the big star would stay in Portland.

DINGDINGDINGDINGDING!!

Not sure why he hasn't tried to develop this skill. He needs to get with this cat here:

He's right here in the NW.

That was just Part 1 of the video, the easy stuff. I can do that blindfolded.

I wish I had a link to Part 2. So I can brush up on the basics. Do you have the link?

Thanks for Part 1, by the way. Reminds me of my first week with a basketball.

Thanks for Part 2, that is entertaining! I had forgotten that some people can't do that stuff.
