The Coca-Cola Company has elected to discontinue its membership with the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). Our involvement with ALEC was focused on efforts to oppose discriminatory food and beverage taxes, not on issues that have no direct bearing on our business. We have a long-standing policy of only taking positions on issues that impact our Company and industry.

Pepsi is doing the same but for financial reasons. (not mentioned in this article)

I need ID to get a library card, but not to vote on election day. Great plan, Amerikkka!!

I need to pay for my ID to vote but not for my library card! Great plan America!

No you don't.

Hmm I guess you're right. But soda drink makers should not be spending their profits on pushing social issues like this and the "stand your ground" laws.

What are you talking about, we vote by mail.

And voters registration is done now at the DMV when we are presenting ID to renew our licenses.

All you have to do is sign a signature on election day in Oregon. You don't have to show your ID to actually vote. It's ripe for fraud.

Please list the candidates fraudulently elected.

The only question is why ALEC and it's politicians-for-hire aren't being prosecuted for subversion.
