Jason Quick - “LMA will not sign with the Blazers because of a lesser role”. Then he signed with the Nets lol

It's funny that people thought he was ever going to come back to Portland. Don't know why anyone believed anything he says.
He's such a phony

If we didn’t have Melo I could totally see him in the Melo role. But at this point I would rather have Melo.

Haha told you guys, all buyout players will sign with the Nets
If the Blazers were able to trade for Harden (assuming the deal for CJ was ever on the table), how many of these ‘ring-chasers’ would be coming to Portland right now?

None...

In general, ring chasers go to rosters where the focus of the GM was to obtain 2-3 all-nba players with the understanding it would mean minimal depth. Our strategy is to have 1 all-nba player and 9 solid players around him. This strategy is going to put us at a major disadvantage in the buyout market as we won't have an obvious role for them to fill.

Our strategy is to stay pat and happy with friendly culture. Winning is for losers.

At this point I'd rather have the Lakers repeat than the Nets winning

Does Adam Silver think it's good for the NBA to let star players team up in large markets?

So the guy who wanted to come back to Portland to finish his career just said “KD hit me quick and said definitely come here”. Dame not a good recruiter lol

And to follow up on what CC said, not only yes, but he prefers it that way. Same with the majority of the players.

It's ratings gold. Who cares if it fucks the smaller market teams.

...or maybe Dame scouted how washed up and how much softer he is now and decided recruiting would be pointless because we don't need a 14/15th man :dunno:

Can't be true, LMA is single handily why the Nets will win the next 8 titles.

So where are all the people that said we didn’t want Aldridge or Blake griffin? The ignorance

Hmmmm

So far in two games he's averaging 11 ppg, 6 rebounds, 3.5 assists (this will come down) and he's shooting 45% from the field and 100% from three on 2 attempts.

Meanwhile, Kanter is averaging 12 ppg, 11.6 rebounds per game, and shooting 60% from the field.

I'd rather have Kanter.

What exactly do you think LMA does well at this point in his career that Kanter doesn't do? He's a piss poor defender, so it's a wash in that department. He doesn't shoot a lot of threes, so all you're getting is long range twos. I'd rather have Kanter shooting 60% from up close. Kanter rebounds better. Their passing is a wash.

Lamarcus is a better all around player. Period. Watch the Nets play and tell me Lamarcus isn’t a better defender. It’s in nbatv right now
