All dogs go to heaven?

The Pope once again made a contiversal statement to some Catholics.

One day, we will see our animals again in the eternity of Christ. Paradise is open to all of God's creatures.

Opening up discussion as to wether dogs have souls, if dogs can go to hell, or if this Pope is truly off his rocker.

Personally, since I'm not a believer in the first place, I don't believe dogs or anyone goes to heaven. But I am a dog lover, and see great individuality and personality from dog to dog. It's something that never made sense to me about belief systems like Christanity, who gets in and who doesn't. And that includes people and animals.

Anyway, I like this Pope for the most part.

It's a dog eat dog food world but the real mystery are the questions, do dogs poop and fornicate in the afterlife? Do they pee on tires or fart? Do they reincarnate as World Leaders or homeless drunks? Will they cease to roll over, fetch or sit? Then again, I'm a cat kinda guy
