I know a few ELMER’S closed about 15 years ago around town. Didn’t realize there were any more open.

That's right--I forgot about the one out in Gresham on Burnside.

Elmers is pretty good. The one I’ve been to several times in Vancouver is like half hour wait on the weekends every time

The one in Clackamas is like stepping back in time. Always busy as well.

My family visits the one near Mall 205 regularly. I believe the one near 102nd/Sandy is still open. And there is now one at the Sheraton on 181st right off the freeway (where "Francis Xavier's" used to be).

But those are all east of 82nd, so those basically don't exist in your world.

Actually east of 60th, but know what you’re sayin’.

There is also an Elmers on 99w in between tigard and king city area. I take my mother there sometimes when i visit her. We are almost always pleased by the food and service.

Sweet Betty's in Gresham is good.

For chains I prefer Black Bear Diner.

Black Bear is good food and a ton of it. Biscuits Cafe is also good.

Black Bear for breakfast is decent but feels like their food really has gone downhill in the past few years. Could be the rapid expansion they've done, hell we have one that just opened up around the corner from my house down here in South Texas.

It's not bad like a Denny's or iHop but not exactly great either. My in-laws like going to iHop and I'm trying desperately to get her family to switch over to BBD!
