All Star reserves. Re: Love & Aldridge

All these comments and not one person has named Stephen Curry or MARC Gasol. They are the two best players on the two best teams in the West right now. Dirk and Duncan have played in enough all star games anyhow. They have no interest in that exhibition. Don't forget Anthony Davis too. Having a monster season in the Big Easy for the P-Cans. The fact that DeMarcus has lost his muse in Mike Malone has left him out of the running. LeMarcus should get in. I think Lillard has the tougher task since there are soooo many guards. Curry, Harden, Paul, Westbrook, Damian, Tony Parker, Monte Ellis, Mike Conley, Goran Dragic. It's a stacked deck out West.

Hey Ourvydas! Great to see you!

Would be great if stotts was coach and made curry paul griffin kobe and hard-on all play 48min

MEM is not one of the two best teams in the West right now. They are currently tied with HOU for the 4th seed and have lost 6 of their last 10.

As was noted Curry, Gasol and Davis are all assumed starters along with Kobe & Griffin, and this thread is just hashing the possible reserves.

Also don't worry about Lillard. He's a lock for his combination of both top tier stats & attention-getting clutch reputation, plus he is someone who is becoming a perennial "face of the league", and it won't hurt that the Blazers are running away with the division. Assuming he doesn't get hurt in the next week he will be a near unanimous choice among coaches.

I got to agree, Lillard is going to have the tougher time getting in. Although I cant imagine him not getting in either, the NBA has been marketing him huge. Last year he was borderline, if he was a normal NBA player this year would be his turn to sit for someone who missed it last year, but since then he has hit the Houston shot and destroyed the league in the 4th quarter all year. I think next year he will be starting next to Curry. This year we are a two all star team, and our record justifies it.

I also think that the fact that players were all stars the previous year kind of helps in a subconscious way too. Kind of like the champs are still the champs until they lose sort of thing. So I think that will work in Dame and LaMarcus' favor as well

But oh good Lord do I pity the rest of the league should Dame NOT get in.

Lol, Ive thought about that also. I kind of hope Dame gets snubbed just because it would feed his fire.

I guess the word "reserves" should have tipped me off. Anyway, I do think that both Dame and Train get in. It's just remarkable how deep the West is.

It's because those two players are a lock as starters. We are talking reserves now
