Firstly, I'm hopeful that the Blazers make it to the 2nd Round, so that I can actually be in Portland see the Blazers play playoff basketball! (We'll be arriving on May 14th or 15th.)

That said, when I get there, I want to GO somewhere (at least once) to watch the Blazers play. I've sincerely missed, and want to experience, the Portland vibe, man! :pimp:

Please, spare me the proverbial, "Other than the RG, the best place to view the Blazers is from my recliner, on my hdtv".....yada, yada, yada...

As I had mentioned, I'll be in a party mood and want to get down and dirty with the locals.......toasting beers.....high-fiving! That kind of thing.

So, where will the best Blazers public gathering in town be, hmmmm?????

Thanks in advance.

It's A GREAT Day To Be A Blazer!!!!

1. Courtside
2. Lower-Level
3. In front of a nice TV in my house.
4. A sports bar with hot girls

99. Sitting on my computer chair watching some illegal Chinese stream of the game. I don't have Comcast. $%@&

If I'm not in one of these places I'm probably not watching the game.

I guess your bet is a sports bar downtown. Like "The Agency" or "On Deck". Those would probably be the most conducive settings to getting what you want, a high-five of unknown cleanliness from a complete stranger.

The agency sports bar is a really cool place, Grand Central Bowl has a nice sports bar, On Deck in the Pearl District is kind of cool, or you can go old school and do the A&L sports bar on NE Glisan and 60th.

Normally I just watch the games from the comfort of my man cave, but I think I'm going to want to experience the games in a crowd this year.

I have watched a couple of games in the Blitz on SE 11th. It is pretty fun and there is a lot of space, lots of TVs including a projector. Fun place to watch a game.

They do a lot of games at big al's in the couv if you are up that way, in ptown i would go to grand central bowl personally

Sounds good.

Upon a quick search, though, I did find this review on Yelp:

Beware, if you want to go on a weekend night, you must wear a douchy Don Johnson jacket and a collared shirt, no jeans. I'm not making his up.

Think of all the money they're turning away in PORTLAND for god sakes. Their loss, and from what I saw, not ours.

ABM If you decide to come to town, we should organize a forum viewing party. I will probably have tickets, but if I don't it would be fun to have folks get together at one of the said locations.

That would be most cool. Let's keep close on that.

Why Is This In The OT Section??

This thread applies to watching Blazer games and I'm sure there are many Blazer fans who don't frequent the OT Forum.

Whichever mod moved this, I'd like some clarification as to why, please.

Thank You.

I will join you ABM. Preferably on the bestside... er... westside. ;)

The best place is inside a packed Phoenix Suns Bar, wearing a Roy Jersey when he drops 52 points on them :ghoti:

Cool. :) At The Agency? Will I need to dredge out my Don Johnson sport coat?

If I can't wear my blazer gear to watch a blazer game... I don't know... just isn't right. =)

I just got to thinking........will the 2nd round even "get" to May 14th or 15th? Shoot, the Blazers may have to get the the WCF if I'm to see them play from anywhere in Portland. :sigh:
