Why did he leave, anyone hear a legit reason from team?

I agree with this for the most part. Sochan has the potential to be a much better defender, especially on the perimeter. But I would not say Watford can't improve his 3 shooting. His 3pt stroke did not look that bad. He could easily improve in year two with a lot of repetition over the summer.
To me it seems unlikely Watford will surpass Sochan as a 3-point shooter. He'd need to improve from 24% to 30% just to get where Sochan is now.
Sochan is 2 1/2 years younger than Watford and isn't afraid to shoot 3-pointers, so he has a better chance from a better starting point to become an adequate 3-point shooter.

I think whenever you are talking about young players in the league (regardless of their age), the sample size is just too small to be looking at 3 pt stats. I have no idea who will be the better 3 pt shooter, but based on their shot, I think both have a decent chance of improving. It will come down to who works the hardest to improve. Wasn't it Watford who said that the coaches wanted him to shoot more 3s in the game because he was hitting them in practice? I think we need to wait to see.

I really like this kid. About as much as the other options at 7. (I do not believe Sharpe will be there at 7)
Yeah, too much legitimate hype about Sharpe and not even clear-cut superstars in the top 4.

Hey, you know who'd be the perfect complement to Jerami Grant at forward?

The perfect compliment to Grant is a guy shooting 27% from three this season.. .

He will go to the Lakers
Thats actually a much better fit. They have great offense but desperately need some defense.

We don't really need Sochan defense. Sure it would be nice and I'd love to take a flyer on him if this was back at training camp. But his defense will equally hurt our offense and were one of the worst 3pt shooting teams in the league. With only 8 or so weeks in the season I can't imagine he gets up to speed with our system and earns even 3rd string playing time over all of Sidy, Rupert, Thybulle, Murray, Cooke.

When healthy our starters/key subs are pretty solid with Sharpe, Avdija, Camara, Grant, Vit.

There is no role for Sochan here as a backup or even a 3rd string guy.
