Brandon Roy is the only Trail Blazer in franchise history to score 23 or more points in 15 consecutive games in a season. The previous mark was held by Geoff Petrie (14, Feb. 4-March 2, 1971). The last NBA player to have a 15-game streak of 23-plus points in a season was Kobe Bryant, who had a 16-game streak from March 9-April 8, 2008

Thanks for the heads up Jim Taylor!

I knew his streak was good but wow that is pretty impressive. I got to admit that I didnt think this mark was that rare, especially when you consider all the prolific scores in the NBA.

Hey "THE", does your man JT know what the all-time record is for consecutive games scoring at least 23 (or 20, or 25 points)? I'm guessing it's Wilt and it's probably something pretty ridiculous like 300 games. Wilt averaged nearly 42 PPG for the first five years of his career and never averaged below 33.5 PPG until he was in his 30s. He also played almost every minute of every game and never fouled out. So, I doubt he had too many low scoring nights during the first 6 or 7 years of his career.

I'll answer my own question. According to the NBA, Wilt holds the record for consecutive 20-point games at 126. Not as high as I'd imagined. He also holds the record for consecutive games scoring 30 or more points at 65 (which I think is even more impressive).

Jordan holds the record for consecutive regular season games scoring 10 or more points at 840.

In the last 15 he's putting up nearly 30 ppg.

What's his PER since Oden went down, anyone?

More Wilt Trivia:

Most games scoring 50 or more points in a season = 45

Most games scoring 40 or more points in a season = 63

Think about that. Wilt scores 39 points and it's one of his 17 worst games of the year (they only played 80 games back then) and hurts his scoring average. Hell, if he scored 49 points, it would have been a below average game for him that season.

No. In scoring (6 points), this was his worst game since Nov. 8 (2). In effectiveness points (NBA.com definition), this (5 eff points) was his worst game since 2/2/09 (5 at New Orleans), and before that, 4/16/08 (5 at Phoenix, last game of the season). The last time he had a worse game was almost 2 years ago on 3/24/08 (4 eff points at Seattle). We lost all those games.

Andre Miller had 15 assists by the middle of the 3rd quarter, and finished with 22 points and 16 assists.

Looking at a database that only goes back to 1986--
Until last night, the only Blazers to get at least 22 points and 16 assists had been Rod Strickland and Terry Porter. The last occurrence was 14 years ago.
