this season. I didn't think it was that difficult to stand in front of your own net as a defenseman and defend. It seems this is too difficult for several stupid defenseman we have to do this.

so instead of the pointmen being wide open for long shots...the slot is...

LMAO! I know. It seems that we are the only team in the league that can't figure out how to guard the slot and the points at the same time.

Not enough footspeed or overall toughness on D. Bad combo.

It's AV system. Most of retarded players are still confused what to do. Forwards forget to cover the points and d-men forget to cover the freaking slot...LOL

It is amazing how many times Girardi just goes down on his knee and tries to block a shot. Takes himself out of the position constantly. It worked for Torts but not for AV.

Rangers dmen are constantly baited into chasing pucks behind the net or in the corners when there's absolutely nothing an opponent can do from there (providing Hank doesn't brain cramp and give up a terrible angle goal). All they need to do is stay in front of the goal and the puck will come to them. Agree about Girardi, every other dman in the NHL uses their skate to block shots but Dan is different. Wouldn't mind if he ever actually blocked a shot from this awkward position but he just helps screen the oncoming shot.
