Self driving vehicles with robots out flooding the streets in neighborhoods near you soon.

Seriously though, you're a new dad. I'm not really sure where I'm gonna be guiding my kids. I guess it's a long way off but I have a feeling AI and robots are going to completely change the landscape of human careers in the future.

And people think the economy and the wealth distribution problems exist now.. just wait.

Fuck the Teamsters Union. Their General President using the phrase, "These greedy executives" in any context is epic irony.

That being said, fuck Amazon and their shady business plan. They should negotiate and operate in good faith, whether their employees are union or not.

I’m a Teamster. Provides me with great pay, amazing pension and free health care that is some of the best out there.

I understand there’s a lot of haters. People hate what they don’t got. It’s human nature.

I don’t care if people hate on Teamsters. But to side with the greedy corporations is kind of a bizarre approach for the average peon (talking in general not you in specific)

Money distribution is a real problem in this country. The rich just want more. Unions are the only hope at leveling the playing field because the politicians are in the pocket of greedy corporations.

Honest question: why did you choose to have kids when you know their lives will be worse than yours?
Somebody gotta take care of my old ass when I can't work anymore...

I still have hope that we can right this thing. But things weren't as bad back when my kids were born.

If not we'll just have to pull ourselves up by our bootstrap's and be billionaires.

We have a union here in town for TELEVISION. I’m all for workers getting compensated, but when the violence and intimidation kick in…..that ain’t for me.

Kaiser has one.

Ah, they have a union though. Didn't know that. Never used Kaiser cause they stink.

Yeah my brother, mom and brother in law are all Kaiser employees. I think like 95% of Kaiser is union now

My dad and my grandfather were both life-long Teamsters. I'm generally pro-Union. My problem isn't with the rank and file, it's with the leadership. And if you don't think the Teamsters have politicians in their pocket, I don't know what to tell you.

This is how I feel as well. The idea of unions is great. But Union leadership just sells out to the highest bidder. I watched it happen to the teamsters at Reddaway, which was bought by Yellow, after Yellow purchased Roadway.

They aren't even getting money put in there retirement anymore. Though they do have access to a 401k that they can choose to put money in if they want to...

It’s all political. Thousands of Teamsters benefit from their allegiance to these politicians. I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

A lot of times these companies go belly up because the CEO is raking in absurd amounts of money and they only care about the bottom line to the shareholders.

The whole thing with Yellow was shady all around and is not at fault of the Teamsters if you read deep into it. That CEO was a sleezeball. The workers of Yellow gave givebacks contract after contract while Darren Hawkins the CEO’s pay ballooned to crazy amounts every year.

On the scale of politicians in pockets CEO’s of these companies are on a whole different level.

It’s not even close. It will just get worse with Musk around.

When the Teamsters are in the pocket of politicians it benefits thousands of families. When CEO’s are, it benefits very few that are already very wealthy.

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that it was the fault of the Teamsters. But the Teamsters sure didn't prevent it from happening.

Honestly, that should have been prevented by congress with Sherman antitrust. Roadway did not want to sell. But she was old and they finally convinced her after years of trying. Somebody (maybe even the government as a mediator or something) should have stepped in and found a way to make her whole while keeping Roadway around as good competition for Yellow.
