Aminu Factor

He's playing like crap right now, at least in terms of shooting. Maybe it will take him more than 2 games to get his shot back? On the other hand, he was shooting like crap before the injury.

Let me know when you are done arguing with yourself about this FAMS.

Not arguing, just pointing out that Aminu's been consistently inconsistent this year. Hope it doesn't last, FAMS.

FAMS = Fake Assed Mother Stuffer?

He's at the top of that chart. Best defender in league.
Four games in with two of them being blow outs. Yes i believe that. But fact remains he has had one awesome game and one average game. two games have been very suspect to the same old Aminu.
I personally feel Aminu has a much needed place on this team but he should not be a starter at the PF position. Just my take.

Lets hope he has a good game this Thursday. The Blazers will need him on both ends of the court.

Aminu makes me want to blow my brains out.

Offensively yes. Even when he makes shots I'm angry. The only time I want him shooting is if he's wide open and the shot clock is at one. I wish I was joking.

If only people complained as much about people whose defense was as bad as Aminu's offense.
Over 4 games, the Blazers have outscored their opponents by 60 points in the 113 minutes Aminu has been on the court. That pretty much leads the team.

Turner?

Also dribbling. Last night he got the ball, took one fast break dribble, then promptly threw the ball away. Bang.

Aminu is my 2nd least favorite Blazer. I’m not saying he’s terrible but I’m saying I literally can’t stand watching him play offense. He shouldn’t shoot the ball unless there is no other option.

Aminu's offensive ineptitude is why nobody thinks of him as a long-term solution at PF. I'm really hoping Swanigan can outplay him for that role early on. The longer a veteran is a starter, the harder it is to replace him with somebody else without it becoming a chemistry issue. If you start a veteran like Aminu all year, there's no way he's going to be happy about losing his job to a sophomore next October.

If Vonleh comes back, well, we should give him a shot and Swanigan a shot, then after a couple of games of each the guy who does best gets it for the rest of the year.

Ideally, we move him to backup SF, with a few minutes at backup PF (Ed Davis gets the rest), and Swanigan starts. That's a nice hard-nosed defensive second unit front court.

It's time to admit that Aminu is one of our best players. Currently he's better than Nurkic. You can look goofy and still be good, you know.

Yes sometimes Aminu does some knuckle head mistake but this year he has been one of our top performers.

Small sample size. Aminu is playing well but we can't expect his scoring and 3 point shooting to continue. Nor can we expect Nurk to continue playing below his potential.

Even @blue9 has to admit that Aminu has played WAY more under control, has been making solid decisions on fast breaks, and not turning the ball over as much.

His ballhandling is much more controlled and reserved. Somebody got in his ass about it.
