I've never crossed the street to avoid anyone. If you're going to get jumped, they'll cross the street to jump you anyway. What's the point? But seriously, there's really nothing to fear in the first place.

I feel like if someone is going to mess with you, crossing the street to avoid them is one of those things that elevates the situation in many cases. Tells the potential threat you're scared.

Went to the plantation yesterday. It is one thing to read and hear about slavery, but quite another to see where it occurred. Beautiful property, but definitely a sad and moving experience too.
