Instead, Palihapitiya contends that Apple should buy Tesla Motors and make Elon Musk CEO. That notion isn’t entirely fanciful, either. Earlier this year, Automobile Magazine’s David Zenlea reported that Tesla Motors CEO and founder Musk refers to the Tesla Model S, which the magazine selected as its 2013 “Automobile Of The Year”, as his “Macintosh,” also observing that the sleek, all-electric Tesla sedan has a distinctly Apple-esque aura about it, with even the smallest details having been lavished with attention in order to be as distinctive and elegant as possible.

I would love to have an apple iCar! I think the apple engineers would have such a field day with integrating the apple way of life in the vehicles we drive! There was a hint from Tesla's CEO that they may have a tech giant buy them out. He said it would be one with a huge surplus of cash.

If Apple does purchase "Tesla Motors"; it would be an amazing move.

Another interesting article

http://www.technologytell.com/apple/112439/apple-icar-steve-jobs/

In a meeting in his office before he died, Steven P. Jobs, Apple’s co-founder and former chief executive, told John Markoff of The New York Times that if he had more energy, he would have liked to take on Detroit with an Apple car.

If there is every a "last dying wish" by Jobs; I would suspect he would ask the new leaders of apple to get onboard with designing a car.

Well, they should have made the purchase yesterday. Stock is up 26% right now after they reported their first quarter of profit and got a 99/100 score from Consumer Reports. My wife's high school friend works there. I'm sure he's going to be (or already is) loaded.

Yeah I was sooo wanting to purchase the Tesla shares about a week ago, but I put money on another stock. I looked today and said "Well shit, too late!"

Ahhh okay I was wondering what the attacks had anything to do with Apple. Haha

There are already self driving google cars. It wouldn't be surprising if Apple said "nah uh! We want in on this too!!!"
