Interview after Cleveland game with ESPN contributor Kevin Arnovitz on 1080am The Fan. I enjoyed listening to Arnovitz because he sounds like he has done some, if not a great deal, of homework on Portland. Agree or not, it's a solid take.

A few points discussed:

- Stotts was the perfect fit to model Portland after Dirk/Dallas
- Barkley would be happy if the NBA still used peach baskets
- Perimeter shooting teams is New School, and legit
- Batum's value
- LMA MVP chatter

Giving credit where credit is due. (pun intended)

Yup, and to think people mocked this idea just a year ago.

I posted yesterday or the day before about an SI contributor saying Stotts was in the Hot seat of all the NBA coaches right before the reg season started. lol 7 weeks later he was calling him the early coach of the year.

Don't see any issue with either of those. For point one he could have been with a down year and on point two he definitely is at this point. It is far worse if someone stubbornly doesn't budge from their stance.

That was my entire point of the thread about the other guy, he was evolving much, much, much faster than the rest of the lame stream sports media, but it was entertaining for me to see the evolution over the past 7 weeks.
