And Portland takes C.J. McCollum

Here's to the mighty Patriot League! Colgate alma mater!

We now have our Steph Curry/Monta Ellis backcourt.

I just got Lillard deja vu listening to CJ's interview with Battier.

Understated, humble, and says 'whatever the team needs'.

A home run!

Penn now gushing over McCollum. I think he's the perfect 3rd guard, and he can step in and be effective ASAP.

Nice guy to have off the bench

...and at #10, there is nothing wrong with it. He is a proven shooter and can get to the rim, both of which translate well to the NBA.

Lillard will play fewer minutes next year, that's for sure.

At ten in the draft, I'm very happy with a great 6th man.

And CJ is smart, good personality and I'm happy he's a Blazer.

Just to mess with people, we should give McCollum #8, but make the middle horizontal line almost invisible so it looks like a "0".

This is the first draft I can remember on this board and others where everybody seems to like a pick. It's kind of nice!

Wonder how this changes our off-season priorities.

Don't have to re-sign Maynor, at least.

I like this. Teams can no longer key in on Dame as we can play 2 PG's who can both shoot.

As jquick said.... Blazers plan all along... Draft a guard... Sign free agent center and sf in summer

If he's good, start him. Wes will be great off the bench.

Thrilled with the pick. The Blazers might have stolen next year's ROY again.

I think it was a good pick at the 10th spot in this draft. I'm pretty psyched about it.

In the long run, I can see Lillard and CJ playing side by side. Hopefully closer to Thomas/Dumars than Curry/Ellis.

Ed O.

If McCollum is as advertised, I don't see either Lillard or CJ as an Ellis. Ellis is uber-talented, but he didn't work well with Curry because they both need the ball. I think CJ can play off the ball when needed and not suffer. Plus, he's a decent defender, and already will be better defensively than Lillard was as a rookie.

Other than Olidipo, he is who I wanted . Very happy the way it turned out.
