What, that Roy looked like he wanted to be somewhere else and did not congratulate Andre?

They should have kept the camera going. At the three minute mark, Roy goes to Nate and tells him to make Andre give him the ball.

Yep. That was it. Well, that and LMA making the big presentation.

Nothing major, I just noticed it. Now, if Brandon wasn't wearing the shirt...

Did they give Roy an ironman shirt too, with a #3 on it?

:ohno:

I gotta say, Roy can complain about Miller all he wants. But you just know Aldridge loves playing with him. LA's received more lobs in two months from Miller than he got over several years with any of our past PG's.

You can talk about spacing the floor all you want with perimeter shots, but Miller gets Aldridge shots right at the rim.

... and yet Aldridge's PER, PTS/minute, TS% are worse than they were any year other than his rookie year (TS% is actually worse than that)... while he is used more...

A conundrum, that...

That was cool.

I really have become a huge fan of Miller. The guy can't hit his hat from outside - but he is floor general, great passer, post-up guard - - a true throwback/old school PG!

His patented face-up jumper has got worse.

There's no real arguing that Miller and Camby both don't give him better looks at the rim than he has in the past.

Yes, it has.

There is no arguing at all, as the numbers show us that this is patently wrong. The 2008-2009 Aldridge got 10% of his attempts as dunks and only 2% as tip-ins, the 2010-2011 Aldridge gets only 5% of his attempts as dunks and 4% as tip-ins. There is something to be said about those pretty spin moves for dunks from a style point - but Aldridge dunked a lot more in prior years. 82Games.com to the rescue.

The pre-Miller era Aldridge was better up-close and had better jump-shots. Conventional wisdom might lead you to believe that having a PG like Miller on the roster is a boon to Aldridge, but the cold, hard facts point against it.

Whats your theory on why his dunks are down?

I seen Roy smiling and clapping at the end. What's the big deal?

I am going with one of the greatest basketball coaches of all time (John Wooden) - spacing, spacing, spacing.

Andre Miller is an amazing player, he is smart, he is crafty, he can score without leaving the ground, he knows when to attack and when not, and he is a darn good passer - but his inability to hit the ocean with a jumper kills spacing - and this does not just hinder Roy, it hinders the big guys as well.

Normally Miller has a mid range jumper that is enough for spacing, but it's been off. That is also true of Rudy and Batum, there shots being off, which I think hurt spacing a lot more.

They should have given Patty one that said 5!
