Both Shortstops, Simmons was taken in the 2nd round of the 2010 Draft.
Cito Culver was taken in the 1st round ahead of Simmons.

WTF- are Yankee Scouts looking at or for, to pass up Simmons, in lieu of Culver?

I know one can't dwell on mistakes, or regret the past, but boy do I regret the past, in some Draft Picks, overlooked.

Culver: Has never got beyond AA, and is now in A Tampa.

Why of course we could go on all day, all year, then some, on blown Yanx Draft Picks.

After all, that is the Intent of this Post, to do as much, show how the Yanx Farm System needs an overhaul or fresh blood, running the Draft/Prospect Lottery; and/or Praise when they nail a draft pick, who exceeds expectations......

A true lottery, since ya' never know what your going to wind up with. Yet, good Scouting usually defines itself with success, and good scouting doesn't usually overlook a Key Player like Simmons......for Culver prior....

I think a blind deaf scout, could of seen Simmons coming a mile away.

Yet in all fairness, Baseball America had Simmons as the #92 Prospect, while MLB had him as the #65 Prospect. Either there were alot of fools, creating his value as a prospect, or he didn't bloom until he hit AA....the latter is more the case.

and I thought Paxton was still making movies, or did that "Tornado" turn him inside out, to leave Hollyweed for Toronto?
Maybe he got confused b/t the words & meaning of Tornado/Toronto??? J/K....!

I definitely agree with your take Steve. This is basically my point. We need new people, scouts, et al. who can identify talent, or see hidden talents which only need coaching, and/or development....

I've seen your Yankee Stadium Pics with your wonderful lovely Family, and your not fat, husky is all, like a Linebacker...!

When I lived/worked in the South, GA., LA., and Fla. I am 6'1", got my weight up to 254lbs. A victim of great Southern Homecooking Cuisine and JoeJah BBQ's.....then onwards to Seafood galore in Fla, and worse yet, I could not stop myself or use any discretion when eating in Luzianna, the Cajun/Creole Cuisine would of gave me a heart attack, had I of stayed a year or so longer. Once I got back to So. Cal. I dropped 74lbs. in 1 year, to stay at 180lbs. When your working hard, and tending to a family, its damn near impossible to not eat alot, big dinners et al.

In those Southern Years, Kim would cook great dinners, Chicken Fried Steak, Etouffe, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Crawfish galore, Shrimp coming out of our ears, along with the Cajun Sausage which is not the same if purchased in other states....my point, when Kim had dinner ready, she set 2 plates for me, one just for Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, no kidding.....

Yep, when one is working hard, they need all the carbs, protein, you name it to continue on the honorable path...!
Thus it will forever be: "Chief Cave Man and Keeper of Thor's Hammer, which is called: Mjolnir"
