Shouldn't 100% of Americans believe in UFOs...? Anything can be a UFO.
Indeed.Obama's fault.
They may have genetically altered us for all we know...
Why? Well if you want me to get into it, it may be a huge post. But here is some fundamental food for thought. Evolution has a lot of gaping holes, and Religion is bull shit, this theory combines the two to make an intriguing argument. Why?
Let's discuss evolution's "gaping holes".
I am just saying, that we need to look past the surface of conventional thought and science and look for alternative answers and to think outside the box about something that is spoon fed to us,that many of us accept as truth's.
Is it that crazy to think that perhaps a god DID exist, but instead of it being an omnipotent force, its actually a variation of ourselves that has evolved intelligently enough to create a hybrid of their own species.

that life on earth might have been seeded from elsewhere is hardly thinking outside the box. that idea is continually being considered by biological/evolutionary scientists. as of yet nobody has come up with any evidence for it.
I agree with you for the most part, but just because there isnt any evidence for it doesnt mean we should write it of as nothing but psychonaut hogwash.
We need to look at religion, especially western religion and see how it could possibly tie in to some of the facts of evolution. The fact that the bible says that God "made us" in likeness of himself serve as clues to figuring out the underlying truth.

this statement fits your picture.
At least one of those is known to just have been created completely by some guy who just wrote a book.
i don't see any problem with that. should i?

I don't think there is a problem. IMO, people are free to believe whatever helps them get through their life better. If you want to believe in Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Superman, Chupacabra, Albert Einsten, Moses, Jesus, God and Fairies, just go ahead.
teaching creationism in schools, undermining science, discriminating against homosexuals, abusing women, car bombing, just go ahead.
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
I never said it's ok to abuse, descriminate or bomb anything. I was talking about something in the lines of article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

Pwnt.
if you want to add qualifiers at any point feel free, but your initial post was dead wrong. there are and always will be serious problems when people are free to believe "whatever" they want.
Since he's citing part of the UN Declaration, I'm pretty sure he implied that those freedoms would stop where they restrict other individuals' freedoms. That topic's been debated to death by the United Nations, and they've generally rejected cultural relativist arguments.you certainly did and you still are. so far your 2 posts are advocating unqualified freedom of relgious belief, which includes brainwashing children, subversion of science, and rampant discrimination in the USA, and those things + abuse of women and violence in other parts of the world.
