had his own show and lived a good life
We don't really know what kind of life he was living in the end....I sure didn't know about Robin Williams brain disease until after the fact

Depression is depression...as I said...alchohol is the great enabler as well...in his case that could've been the trigger...I know a bit about mental disorders, bipolar disorders, PTSD, etc....disrespecting that isn't really necessary or useful to the issue...people of wealth do have ways and means to address their own mental illness was my point...average Joe out there might not. Bourdain checked out...I liked the guy's show..sad for him and his. There's no gloating about his status involved. There are patterns in suicidal behavior though.
Could of been but either way he was still suffering with mental issues. I mean you really gotta be somewhere mentally low to just kill yourself at 61 while you are filming for your show. Who knows. Obviously depression is something he had, who knows what else. Some mental illnesses aren't very clear. Same thing with somebody like Robin Williams. Robin suffered from depression his whole life. Sometimes treatments don't work. It's very hard to find professionals who understand these disorders. Generally you are offered an anti depressant and that's it, it's basically good luck from there. I just don't think America as a whole is doing enough to care about the issue. Some people get it. Most don't unfortunately. I have heard so many people refer to homeless people as crazy when that's not really the case. A lot of them suffer from serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, etc. Drugs they take only make it worse. It enhances this type of disorder and increases things like hallucinations, voices, etc. It's sad really.

You don't need to wonder Cippy….people do take mental illness seriously, especially those close to the mentally ill. I counseled PTSD war vets before I got out of the military….I've had friends die throughout my life from addictions and depression. None were famous so people didn't take much notice outside of those who were close to them...many were addicted to heroin as a response to chronic depression. As to Bourdain, Heath Ledger, David Carradine, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robin Willliams etc....all were junkies at some point or alcoholics and in the end commited suicide. Fame and wealth had little to do with it. People do address it when famous people do the death dance but fact is, people most don't know do this all the time. I have less grief for those who have ways and means to get into rehab than those who fall between the cracks such as the homeless. Heroin is a drug of pure apathy. Bourdain was addicted to heroin and cocaine most of his adult life. He also spent most of his time outside of this country so it's not like he hung himself in New York.....he was in France...Bourdain drank heavily...alcohol is an enabler for depression. Unfortunately freedom of choice also includes freedom to end your life if you so choose.

David Carradine did not commit suicide.

Philip Seymour Hoffman did not commit suicide.

Heath Ledger did not commit suicide.

David Carradine did not commit suicide.

Philip Seymour Hoffman did not commit suicide.

Heath Ledger did not commit suicide.
They didn't?

I can't recall where I learned about their alleged suicides so I guess it's possible they didn't but I sure seem to think I learned it someplace.

Heath Ledger did not commit suicide.
sure.....not what I read....one hung himself in Thailand ...the other two overdosed on drugs...more than even they could handle...not sure where you get all this stuff but hey.....maybe some deep state conspiracy I'm not aware of?

His girlfriend, who he was crazy about, was cheating on him with a much younger guy. Photos came out, and Bourdain was never heard from again. I was a huge fan of his and followed him on social media and he didn’t post anything from the day those pictures came out to the day he died. I’m not saying that was the reason, but there’s no way it didn’t trigger it, especially since he already wasn’t the most mentally stable person. And it would have been at least the second time he got fucked over. His ex wife cheated on him with one of her MMA buddies. He probably had a moment of weakness and said fuck it, see ya.

His GF was also a #MeToo Weinstein accuser. She's the one who said Harvey Weinstein gave her oral sex without her permission, then continued to date him for several years afterwards. She's pretty much bat shit crazy. She french kissed a dog on camera for a movie where she was practically naked too.

She also posted a picture of herself a few hours before Bourdain was found dead in a Sex Pistols shirt with the caption “fuck everyone, you know who you are.” She deleted it as soon as the news broke. It’s interesting because Bourdain was known on the culinary circuit as Sid Vicious. Bourdains best friend, the guy who found him, also mentioned that he was in a bad mood the last couple of days.

My guess? Photos get published. Bourdain finds out. Calls her out on it. She says fuck you. He’s devastated, gets fucked up, and finally acts on an impulse he’s openly talked about in the past (mentioned he routinely thought of suicide back in the day.)

Just sad. He was great, and maybe the only “celebrity” I genuinely admired.

Sounds like they got in a huge fight. French police mentioned that they thought the suicide was on "impulse", something I hear is more common nowadays. A traumatic event occurs, a panic attack sets in and someone not thinking right kills themself as a rash decision.

I met Bourdain back in 2004 at a book signing for his Les Halles cookbook. I really wanted to eat there, as I was a huge nerd for his series "A Cook's Tour", watched it over and over again on TiVo....my first expose to travel shows.

I was in the middle of going through the A Cook's Tour audiobook and found out one afternoon he was doing an appearance at a book store in Orange County. I went there, they passed around some soup he cooked and he gave a short talk, got a pic with him and everything. He was just such a real guy, but I think he's had bad luck with women throughout his life.

This is a very difficult topic for me to talk about. I have had three relatives and two close friends take their own lives. All for different reasons. Some with multiple reasons.

The sadist was my cousin. He killed himself the day after he graduated from high school. In the note he left, his reason was, he did not want to live in the real world he was about to join.

As far as Mr. Bourdain, hanging is a horrible way to go. Its sounds like a rapid rash decision.

This means Weinstein took a life, the SOB.

I guess Rose McGowan is now the spokesperson.

Dear Fellow Humans,

Sitting across from me is the remarkable human and brave survivor, Asia Argento, who has been through more than most could stand, and yet stand she does. She stood up to her monster rapist and now she has to stand up to yet another monster, suicide. The suicide of her beloved lover and ally, Anthony Bourdain. I write these truths because I have been asked to. I know so many around the world thought of Anthony Bourdain as a friend and when a friend dies, it hurts. Many of these people who lost their ‘friend’ are wanting to lash out and blame. You must not sink to that level. Suicide is a horrible choice, but it is that person’s choice.

When Anthony met Asia, it was instant chemistry. They laughed, they loved and he was her rock during the hardships of this last year. Anthony was open with his demons, he even wrote a book about them. In the beginning of their relationship, Anthony told a mutual friend, “He’s never met anyone who wanted to die more than him.” And through a lot of this last year, Asia did want the pain to stop. But here’s the thing, over their time together, thankfully, she did the work to get help, so she could stay alive and live another day for her and her children. Anthony’s depression didn’t let him, he put down his armor, and that was very much his choice. His decision, not hers. His depression won. Anthony and Asia had a free relationship, they loved without borders of traditional relationships, and they established the parameters of their relationship early on. Asia is a free bird, and so was Anthony. Was. Such a terrible word to write. I’ve heard from many that the past two years they were together were some of his happiest and that should give us all solace.

Anthony was 61, the same age my father was when he died. My father also suffered from intermittent deep depression, and like Anthony, was part of a “pull up your bootstraps and march on” generation. The a “strong man doesn’t ask for help” generation. I know before Anthony died he reached out for help, and yet he did not take the doctor’s advice. And that has led us here, to this tragedy, to this loss, to this world of hurt. Do NOT do the sexist thing and burn a woman on the pyre of misplaced blame. Anthony’s internal war was his war, but now she’s been left on the battlefield to take the bullets. It is in no way fair or acceptable to blame her or anyone else, not even Anthony. We are asking you to be better, to look deeper, to read and learn about mental illness, suicide and depression before you make it worse for survivors by judging that which we do not understand, that which can never fully be understood. Sometimes we are stuck in the unknowable, and that is where we are now, a massive wave of darkness that threatens to swallow everyone in its wake.

As I watch Asia do her job on set today, I see a pillar of strength who continues to work to put food on her children’s table. I see Elizabeth Taylor carrying on filming Cat on a Hot Tin Roof despite her love, her husband, dying in a plane crash. I see all of us who have carried on. Please join me in sending healing energy to Anthony on his journey, and to all who’ve been left behind to journey on without him. There is no one to blame but the stigma of loneliness, the stigma of asking for help, the stigma of mental illness, the stigma of being famous and hurting.

We must do more and be better. Anthony, our friend, would want it that way.

To the media and to the random commenter, Anthony would never have wanted Asia to be hurt, I’d like to think he would want us to have the collective conversation that needs to be had about depression. Blame is NOT a conversation, it is the shutting down of our collective growth. Which is where we are now. We have a choice as humans, shrink to our smaller, uglier selves, or be better and grow as only true Phoenixes can. I urge you to be that Phoenix.

With great sadness and even greater hope, I remain,

Rose McGowan

cc: Asia Argento

Yeah, what. the. fuck.

These are the women at the forefront of #MeToo. Batshit crazy.

“Do NOT do the sexist thing and burn a woman on the pyre of misplaced blame.” Way to exert your male privilege dude. No wonder you’re still single.

Another double post. Haha

Someone needs to spray graffiti on the forum wall. It should say BGD was here rather than Kilroy :) .

And as much as I like Bourdain, he got cucked and couldn't deal.
