Anti-Virus Program

My anti-virus program Trend Micro is expiring in a few days, and I really don't feel like paying $50+ for it again. Are there any good programs that are completely free? If not, how about something much cheaper?

I second this - my McAfee one is about to expire and I don't really want to pay for it as it's been a bit problematic. Any help?

AVG is good? My program expired yesterday and now they're asking for $80 instead of the usual $50. Screw that.

Yeh its pretty good for a free program, no complaints, but as Mainevent said try getting programs in other ways
